Types of Arthritis - Osteoarthritis - the cartilage becomes stiff and as it damages tendons and ligaments become stretched and cause pain - Rheumatoid arthritis - appears at people aged between 40 and 60, more common in women - Infectious arthritis - caused by bacteria or viruses which cause infection in the synovial fluid and tissues of a joint - Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis - affects teenagers and even children
Types of Arthrosis: - Primary osteoarthrosis - develops in healthy cartilage and may be caused by trauma and microtrauma
- Secondary osteoarthrosis - occurs in the previously damaged cartilage and continues to increase in intensity
