Permatex Premium is a woven geotextile made from HDPE threads, made using the Sulzer technology. Permatex can be used as both a weed control and a stabilising membrane. It has similar properties to the Mulchtex range but is more robust and can be used in many more applications. Permatex features a unique ripple-weave technology giving excellent water dispersion, which eliminates puddling, making it ideal for use with growing plants. UV treated, Permatex will last for 5 to 7 years without the need for a mulch and even longer with one.

Mulchtex is a spun bonded polypropylene weed control fabric with high levels of UV stabiliser which allows air, nutrients and liquids to pass through soil. Mulchtex acts as a weed barrier and enables easy planting by pre-cutting crossholes in the fabric. The spunbonded material allows it to be easily cut without fraying.

Available in 50GSM as a standard, but other weights are available upon request.

BIODEGRADABLE

BioTELO is a revolutionary 100% biodegradable mulching film, made from a maize starch. It is the environmentally friendly alternative for weed control and reduces labour and landfill costs as it does not need to be removed or disposed of. BioTELO maintains its mulching ability for a minimum of one and a half months and a maximum of four and a half months (for autumn cycles).

WHY USE BioTELO?

• BioTELO has the same characteristics, resistance, elasticity and mulching efficiency as PE films • It is 100% biodegradable, does not pollute the earth and does not accumulate • It does not need to be removed and disposed of at the end of the cultivation cycle, thus reducing the relative costs (e.g. landfill taxes and labour) • It can be laid using the usual machines and automatic transplanters • It eliminates the negative environmental impact linked to the accumulation of plastic materials in the soil, which can damage the soil’s natural productivity.
