SPOTLIGHTS
CAMBRIDGE CROSSING If you’ve visited Cambridge in the past few months, you may have noticed a changing skyline. The 43-acre Cambridge Crossing development will be home to commercial, retail, and residential spaces, as well as public parks and two MBTA stops. Our skilled pipefitters and HVAC-R technicians are building a state-of-the-art biomedical facility for Sanofi Medical that will serve as the company’s U.S. research headquarters. The building’s specifications also required members to install five custom-made chillers, which are among the first of their kind in New England. Trane is assisting with chiller breakdown, Limbach is on HVAC piping, and Grodsky is working on shell and core. We take pride in building the future of the Boston area and are excited to see this project take shape. Thank you to everyone representing Local 537 at Cambridge Crossing.
Top right: The team rigs custom-made chillers into the space. Bottom right: The new facility spans more than 900,000 square feet with dozens of welding projects for the Local 537 team.
