President’s Message Our mission at Pioneer Bank is to make a positive difference in the lives of those who work, bank, and invest at Pioneer.

Loyal and dedicated individuals are the foundation to any successful team. Team Pioneer is made up of individuals who find personal success in making our communities stronger. We believe we have a responsibility to improve every facet of our community and strive to achieve this through our philanthropic program, Team Pioneer.

Team Pioneer embodies the culture of Pioneer Bank. Members of the team donate their time and talent to ensure Pioneer is a strong presence in the communities in which it serves. This second Community Impact Report showcases the impact that Team Pioneer has had throughout 2018. It also serves as a reminder that our work is never done.

Finance matters, at all ages. Pioneer Bank takes seriously the responsibility to improve the communities where we do business. By strengthening the financial knowledge and skills of people, young and old, we contribute to the individual success and to the financial stability of our community and country, In 2018, presentations were made to students as well as senior citizens on financial matters.

2018 Presidential Volunteer Service Awards The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) recognizes, celebrates and inspires our volunteers to lead the charge.

Awards are offered in multiple levels and are designed to recognize each milestone of a volunteer’s service achievement.

Levels include bronze, silver, gold and the highest honor, the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for those who contribute more than 4,000 hours of service in their lifetime.

Hours are measured over a 12-month period and awards are designated based on cumulative hours.

We were honored to have five Team Pioneer members earn the award for 2018.

Mrs. Austin serves on the Board of Leadership New Mexico and is a graduate of Connect New Mexico in 2011 and the Leadership New Mexico Class of 2017. Nici is the President for The First Tee of Southeastern New Mexico.

She has also served on the Roswell Independent School District School Board as well as the Board for Habitat for Humanity. She is an active member of Team Pioneer volunteer group, Chaves County Republican Women, and Country Club Road Church of Christ.

Christopher is actively involved in the community serving as President of the United Way of Chaves County, Vice President of the United Way Foundation, Vice President of the Southeastern New Mexico Society of CPAs, Treasurer of the Roswell Chaves County Economic Development Corporation, and is a Director for the Independent Community Bankers Association of New Mexico.

Aaron joined Pioneer Bank in September of 2017. He is excited about becoming more involved in the community and is currently the Treasurer for the Boys and Girls Club of Chaves and Lincoln Counties.

Christopher is a graduate of the Leadership Roswell Class of 2008 and the Leadership New Mexico Class of 2015. On October 16, 2017, The Independent Community Bankers of America announced that Christopher Palmer was the Western region winner of the Association’s 2017 Community Banker of the Year award.

Alejandra is the Vice President of the Hispano Chamber of Commerce. She also serves as the Treasurer of Del Norte PTO and recently joined the board of the Eastern New Mexico University Roswell Foundation.

Brad is a member of the board for First Church of the Nazarene. He is also the Chairman of the Finance Committee for the same organization. He also serves as Treasurer for the 1st Tee of SENM and the Boy Scout Conquistador Council.

Juliana is on the board for Walker Aviation Museum and is Vice President of MainStreet Roswell. She is also on the board for Character Counts! in Chaves County. She is dedicated to volunteering and improving her community and volunteers with countless organizations in Chaves County. She is a graduate of the Leadership New Mexico Class of 2018 and is on the 2019-20 Curriculum Committee.

Juliana earned the Presidential Volunteer Silver Service Award in 2018. She was also presented with the 2018 United Way Community Volunteer Service Award.

I love working for a community bank because I like being a good neighbor. A good neighbor takes care of his neighbors. I feel like I am taking care of my neighbors, giving them the best service and helping make Pioneer Bank the best bank in our neighborhood and our community.

Doug is very involved in the Las Cruces community.

He is Board President for ADOBE Inc., an organization that provides housing for the homeless in Las Cruces. He is also Secretary/Treasurer of the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce - Conquistadores Executive Committee and Board President of the Southern New Mexico Mortgage Lenders Association.

Always ready and willing to step up and volunteer with a smile, Leigh is Vice President of the Pecos Valley Dart Association, and serves on the Finance Committee of Compass Church

Melissa volunteers with a great organization and serves as Treasurer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern New Mexico.

One of his passions is Dress the Child, an organization which provides clothes for under-priviledged children in DoĂąa Ana County, where he serves as Volunteer Coordinator.

Dawson served on the board of Mesilla Valley Habitat for Humanity as Treasurer.

He is also the Treasurer for for the Las Cruces Mesilla Valley Rotary Club Board.
