ABOUT PRIDE IN TEES VALLEY

Pride in Tees Valley is an ambitious, celebratory project, bringing together local volunteer committees to help make inclusive, community-led Pride events happen across the Tees Valley.

Championing LGBTQIA+ culture through vibrant celebrations of Teesside’s LGBTQIA+ communities. In 2024, pilot events will launch in Hartlepool and Redcar & Cleveland, alongside the development of existing successful events in Stockton-onTees, Middlesbrough and Darlington. Welcoming Teessiders, community members and allies of all ages to experience Pride right here in their hometowns!

Pride in Tees Valley is coordinated by Curious Arts and supported by Tees Valley Combined Authority, Middlesbrough Council, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, Hartlepool Borough Council, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council and Darlington Borough Council.

OVER 15,000 PEOPLE ATTENDED PRIDE EVENTS IN THE TEES VALLEY IN 2023.

With your help, we can continue to increase visitor numbers and develop tourism in the region around Pride events while also supporting your staff, customers and local communities to feel championed and celebrated.

Curious Arts is a North East based Arts & youth charity developing and championing LGBTQIA+ arts, artists and communities across the region.

Developing communityfocused arts projects and events throughout the year, in partnership with cultural and community organisations from across the region.

WE’RE DELIGHTED TO BE SUPPORTING PRIDE IN TEES VALLEY – A CRITICAL NEW ADDITION TO OUR CREATIVE ECOSYSTEMWHICH CELEBRATES DIVERSITY AND CREATES ENERGISING, SAFE AND WELCOMING PROGRAMMES FOR LGBTQIA+ AUDIENCES AND ALLIES.
