Curious Festival, an annual celebration of LGBTQ culture across the North East.
Founded in 2016, Curious Festival returns with its largest ever festival programme over eight days, exploring and celebrating LGBTQ culture through the arts – increasing visibility, dialogue and understanding of the LGBTQ community across the North East.
As a not-for-profit organisation, Curious Arts works in partnership with arts and community organisations to improve the quality of life of LGBTQ communities, their friends and families by promoting visibility and opportunities for audiences and artists.
The 2018 festival programme takes place across Gateshead, Newcastle, Stockton and Middlesbrough.
We are proud to be championing activity with and for children, young people and families, queer artists of colour and female led activity.
