40 X 24 DAYS HRS

lenten service

Challenge

There are 40 days in Lent, and 24 hours in each day … this year Pinnacle is going to volunteer an hour for every hour in Lent. Our 40x24 Lenten Service Challenge will result in at least 960 hours of service in our community. We might even surpass that goal!

We’re trying to make this as easy as possible for you by providing you with some starting points as you consider how you might want to serve in our community. Our hope is that you’ll get together to volunteer with some friends, your family, maybe a church small group or even a church committee.

Some of the opportunities listed in this booklet are for fixed dates/ times, and others are options for you to reach out and arrange the service on your schedule. And you’re not limited to the options we’re providing! Feel free to volunteer wherever you’d like. The goal is for us to be doing the service and having a mindset toward bringing the love of God to others.

Each time you complete any number of service hours, you can record them on the Pinnacle mobile APP, at pinnaclepres.org/serve, or scan the QR code on the right. If you go with a group, one person can add up all the hours and enter them (or each individual can do so). There are dropdowns for the mission partners listed in this booklet, and if you serve at another organization, there’s a dropdown for “other” and a space for you to let us know where you served.

Blessings on you as you serve as Christ’s hands and feet this Lent! Please reach out to mission@pinnaclepres.org with any questions.
