DEACONS (continued)
MARSHA ZANDBERGEN is originally from Grand Rapids, Mich., and graduated from Blodgett Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and Western Michigan University. She spent her early nursing career working in emergency rooms in Norfolk, Va., and later Blodgett Hospital. Following cancer diagnosis and treatment, Marsha moved to hospice care, serving as CEO of Hospice of Western Michigan, president of Michigan Hospice, and later worked for the National Hospice in Washington, D.C. Her son and his family live in Scottsdale, and her daughter and her family in Allendale, Mich. She learned about Pinnacle while her grandsons attended the Preschool. When searching for a church, Mary was interested in all the educational opportunities at Pinnacle. She has served as a confirmation mentor, Park Center workshop facilitator, and VBS teacher/grandma.

Youth Deacons
LILY ROGERS is 16 years old and a junior at Scottsdale Preparatory Academy. She has been attending Pinnacle since her family moved to AZ when she was five years old. Lily loves the sense of community that Pinnacle provides as well as the amazing opportunities for trips, such as Montreat and Knotts Berry Farm. She is an active member of the youth group and VBS, and looks forward to fulfilling her responsibilities as a youth deacon! In her spare time, Lily enjoys playing soccer.

MATTHEW SIDOTI is 15 years old and a native of Scottsdale. He has been attending Pinnacle since he was born, starting with his baptism in 2007. Matt has attended VBS as both a camper and a counselor. He has participated in the music programs at Pinnacle including choirs, handbells, and steel drums. Matt has attended two youth music/mission trips to Calif., has ushered on his brother Ben’s youth usher team, volunteered at UMOM reading books and teaching Sunday School to the children and at our youth's annual rummage sales. Currently, Matt is an active member of our Boy Scout Troop 869, working on his way to Eagle Scout. He is a sophomore at Cactus Shadows High School, has played the trumpet in the band since 4th grade and this year he joined his school's jazz band. Matt is very excited to become a youth deacon at Pinnacle and find new areas to participate in!

Foundation Trustees
BOB ARMSTRONG is originally from Neb. and relocated with his family to Scottsdale in 2002. He and his wife, Marla, have been active members of Pinnacle since 2003 and have two adult daughters, Alison and Emily. Bob has served on the Foundation for three years in a variety of roles including secretary, treasurer, and president. He has also been a deacon, elder, head usher, and greeter and has been involved in missions including Open Table, Habitat for Humanity, Andre House, and hurricane disaster relief. He was in the golf course development business for many years before retiring. Bob enjoys working in the community and has held leadership roles with other non-profit organizations. Other interests include: investing, spending time with family, playing golf, spectator sports, movies, and reading history and biographies.

GEORGE BALL and his wife, Coleen, joined Pinnacle in late 2020 following their relocation from Calif. where they were members of San Marino Community Church (PCUSA) for more than twenty years. During that time, they both served in a variety of leadership capacities, including George’s term on the SMCC Foundation Board. George recently retired from Parsons Corporation where he was CFO for the past fifteen years. He continues to serve on the Board of that and other companies and has a long record of board service in both the for profit and non-profit sectors. Coleen and George have two adult daughters who both reside in Southern Calif., and are frequent visitors to both Scottsdale and Colorado where they enjoy their summers.
