ngon Manor is a beautiful 14th century country house surrounded by its own challenging 18-hole golf course. Located within the picturesque countryside surrounding Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon and on the doorstep to Warwick Castle, and a wealth of National Trust properties, Ingon is the perfect retreat from the stresses and strains of life. Nothing is too much trouble for our efficient, caring and attentive staff, something you will discover if you choose Ingon Manor as the venue for your civil wedding ceremony, wedding reception, private function, conference, business meeting or seminar. We strive to create the atmosphere of a home from home, albeit one where you just sit back and enjoy the experience. The hotel has its own restaurant, No.19, which is earning excellent reviews for the quality of its cuisine with a mouthwatering selection of creative European and British dishes. The 18-hole par-72 championship golf course, at 6,575 yards with its full fairway irrigation system and USGA specification greens, is open all the year round. It has been designed to test all standards of golfers. Annual memberships are available to players of all ages and abilities and equally we are a favourite golfing destination for visitors and society or corporate groups. Our beautifully converted barn, with exposed beams and stunning views, has its own courtyard with fountain and wonderful large patio area – this really sets the scene for a perfect reception for up to 150 guests. The function room can be hired for the day, or for the evening only if preferred.
We can offer a super array of dining options for your private celebration from a sumptuous four-course sit-down meal to a more casual and informal barbeque. Our highly-regarded No.19 restaurant is also available for private hire.

ngon Manor Hotel, Golf & Country Club has its own restaurant, No.19, which is earning excellent reviews for the quality of its cuisine with a mouth-watering menu containing a varied selection of creative European and British dishes.
Here again, the visitor will discover that we are so much more than just a golfing destination. In fact, if you asked our discerning diners who Tiger Woods was, a good proportion of them would probably tell you they had never heard of him!
Head chef Tim Wyles has an excellent and well-deserved reputation in the area for his prowess in the kitchen and menus change weekly, so you will always find something to tempt the taste buds, however often you choose to dine with us.
The atmosphere is pretty special, too, with candlelit tables, exposed beams, wooden floors and the tasteful and stylish dĂŠcor all helping create the right ambience for that perfect dining experience.

hilst dating back to the 14th century, the Manor and has been carefully renovated to provide modern amenities whilst still retaining its original charm. It is ideally situated for Stratford-upon-Avon, and is within close proximity to the M40. Birmingham Airport and the NEC can be reached within 30 minutes by car.

Civil Ceremonies

ngon Manor is delighted to be licensed to host Civil Wedding ceremonies and we promise you a day to remember.
You may hold a Civil Marriage on any day of the week and the last ceremony can be held at 5pm each day (except Sundays where you may need to liaise with the Registrar). The minimum notice we require is three days and the maximum 12 months.
You may have your wedding blessed after the Civil Ceremony, but this must be kept separate from the Civil Marriage. You will need a minimum of two witnesses and there is no upper limit. If you are interested in holding a Civil Marriage with us, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Wedding Coordinator on 01789 731857.

A Base for Exploring
I
ngon Manor is perfectly placed for visitors wishing to explore one of the most tourist-friendly regions in the whole of the United Kingdom. We are right on the doorstep of Stratfordupon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare and a town steeped in culture and history. Only a little further away to the north is Warwick, with its majestic castle, and to the south lies Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds, not forgetting Worcester and the Malverns to the west.

You could spend months with us and still go out each and every day and discover fresh places, sights and scenery to enthral. Stratford-upon-Avon itself is less than three miles away. It is home to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, a 1,040-seater auditorium and Grade II listed building on the banks of the river Avon. The building re-opened in November 2010 following three years of painstaking work yet still retains many of the art deco features of the 1932 Shakespeare Memorial Theatre. Shakespeare’s resting place, underneath
the Holy Trinity Church, is another significant attraction, while it is definitely worth spending a few hours visiting the family home of the woman who was to become his bride.
Anne Hathaway’s Cottage is a thatched farmhouse set in stunning grounds and gardens, which overflow with beautiful blooms and traditional shrubs. This gorgeous spot is situated in the hamlet of Shottery, just to the west of Stratford-upon-Avon. There are many beautiful small villages nestling in the countryside surrounding
Stratford, each with their own charm and history. There are also a host of majestic National Trust properties within each reach, not least of which is Warwick Castle, a magnificent building set within 60 acres of stunning grounds. The gardens include a late 19thcentury formal peacock garden with topiary, and a re-created Victorian rose garden. Warwick and its historic buildings have featured in a number of television series, including the period drama Pride and Prejudice.
Less than an hour away to the south lies Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Winston Churchill and a World Heritage Site. Home to one of Europe’s greatest collections of fine art, the palace is surrounded by over 2,000 acres of ‘Capability’ Brownlandscaped parkland which also includes a great lake, and beautiful formal gardens. Then there is Henley-in-Arden, a picturepostcard of a town which dates back to medieval times containing many properties of architectural significance.
Sports fans are spoilt for choice with toplevel football and cricket in season as well as racecourses at Stratford and Warwick. The options are endless. The Course

ngon Manor is set in 171 glorious acres nestling amongst the Welcombe Hills. The 18-hole par-72 championship golf course, at 6,575 yards with its full fairway irrigation system and USGA specification greens, is open all the year round. Designed by David Henstock, it will test all standards of golfer. Our par 3 17th signature hole deserves a special mention, 203 yards over water to an island green. While there are certainly difficult holes, the course is nothing other than fair and there are some holes that offer
the opportunity of birdie or better. The short par 4 4th, for example, is downhill all the way and can be reached with a straight, well-hit drive. Particular care has been taken to maintain the natural beauty of the Welcombe Hills. The planting of more than 50,000 trees and the use of lakes have helped to create areas that are ecologically friendly.
From the highest points you will be rewarded with some stunning views over the surrounding countryside and beyond. Visitors who savour what the course and club has to offer appreciate that Ingon Manor is something very special. ngon Manor Golf Club has a very active membership of more than 450. Our men’s, ladies and junior sections offer a full competition fixtures schedule aimed at players of all standards. We also run several friendly events and a varied social calendar. We welcome applications for membership and offer seven-day memberships which allow unlimited golf, use of the clubhouse facilities, entry into club competitions and the chance to acquire and maintain an officially-recognised handicap. Five-day
membership affords the same benefits from Monday to Friday only and payment can be spread over 12 months if required. We feel you will find these subscriptions extremely reasonable, particularly if you calculate how much it would cost it would cost to play just once a week on a municipal pay and play course. Being a member of our friendly club will also encourage you to play more.
Ingon Manor offers excellent rates to junior golfers, with considerable discounts available for players under 17 and for Intermediate players aged between 17 and 21. We invite you to play the course several times before you join and all green fees paid will be deducted from the joining fee. isitors are welcome to Ingon Manor throughout the week and can look forward to an excellent round of golf, followed by a warm, friendly atmosphere and some good food in the clubhouse. You do not have to be a golfer to be able to spend an enjoyable time with us. Our bar and restaurant are open throughout the day. You are always welcome in the clubhouse to enjoy a social drink or friendly meal. The club is situated in some lovely countryside so you may want to enjoy the splendid views

All visitors are required to show a valid handicap certificate before playing. If you are in any doubt please discuss with our golf professional at the time of making your booking. We do prefer golfers to be of a sufficient standard for them to be able to enjoy their round and for them not to inconvenience other players when out on the course.
