Miguel Island Departure to Lagoa do Fogo (Fire Lagoon), taking the South coastal road to Pico da Barrosa. Continue the journey down to the Northern coast, where you will have the chance to have breathtaking view of the island's oldest volcanic crater and where the Lagoa das Furnas is located. The famous "Cozido das Furnas" is the menu for Lunch. Take a walk at Terra Nostra's Park. Arrive at Ponta Delgada. D7: S. Miguel Island Departure from Ponta Delgada towards the Lagoa das Sete Cidades (Seven Cities Lagoon). Stop at the Belvedere Vista do Rei where you will have one of the best prospects on the twin lakes of Sete Cidades. Visit the pineapple plantations in the greenhouses of Santa Rita. D8: S. Departure to Monte, a pilgrimage place, the famous church of Nossa Senhora do Monte, Visit Terreiro da Luta, located in Monte Town. The Belvedere of Terreiro da Luta allows us to contemplate the magnificent view of the Funchal's Bay. You can admire not only the statue but also a beautiful view over the bay. At Pico do Arieiro (1810 m), the second highest point of the island. Magnificent panorama on the neighboring peaks. D3: Funchal * Calheta * Ponta do Pargo * Porto Moniz * Funchal Departure towards Ribeira Brava and visit its Church, Towards Ponta do Sol direction, located between two cliffs, at the heart of the banana production of the island.
