GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

These Exhibition Health Requirements apply to all livestock present at the fair including those animals that are not entered in competitive events.

1. Exhibitors are required to familiarize themselves with all rules applicable to their exhibits. All out-of-state animals shall require an entry permit. Entry permit numbers are available online at https:// entrypermit.agr.illinois.gov/Login.aspx.

2. All animals, except as noted, shall be accompanied

by a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) which shows that the animal meets all health requirements for the State of Illinois. If an official electronic CVI is utilized, the exhibitor should be able to log on and show Bureau of Animal Health Personnel the completed CVI. CVI means a legible record made on an official form from the state of origin which has been issued, signed and dated by an accredited veterinarian and which shows the name and address of the animal’s owner or exhibitor and the results of all required tests or vaccinations. A CVI shall list only one animal identification per line; shall be presented on the form on which it was initially issued; and shall not be corrected, changed or altered in any manner.

3. All animals shall be officially identified. The animal(s) official identification shall be recorded on the CVI.

4. If animals are from tuberculosis accredited, brucellosis certified, pseudorabies qualified, or brucellosis validated herds, the identifying herd number(s) along with the date of the last herd test(s) shall appear on the CVI.

5. CVI for out-of-state livestock shall be void thirty

7. All livestock shall be subject to examination upon entry to any Illinois fair or exhibition. Any animal showing evidence of infectious, contagious or communicable diseases shall be immediately withdrawn and held in quarantine at the owner’s risk and expense until properly treated and recovered, or until the animal is released to return to the owner’s premise.

Any livestock infected with scabies, mange, active lesions of ringworm, soremouth, or multiple warts which are easily visible without close examination shall not be permitted to exhibit and are subject to quarantine or removal from the fairgrounds.

Sheep and goats with caseous lymphadenitis as evidenced by draining abscesses shall not be exhibited and are subject to immediate quarantine or removal from the fairgrounds.

8. Illinois Department of Agriculture personnel or designee may collect blood, tissue, milk or urine samples from any animal being exhibited and/or raced at any Illinois fair to test for the presence of illegal drugs or banned substances. Examination techniques, such as

9. All exhibitors of animals at any Illinois fair or exhibition shall comply with the provisions of the Illinois Humane Care for Animals Act. If violations are observed, the animals(s) will be excused from exhibition and ordered removed from the grounds with all awards being forfeited.

Any practice or deviation from normal, accepted care, including physical, medical or mechanical application, shall constitute a violation of show rules and may result in the animal(s) disqualification and removal from the fairgrounds.

10. Any Illinois cattle, bison, cervidae or goats being exhibited in non-accredited free states must be isolated from the remainder of the herd/flock upon return to Illinois and retested for tuberculosis 60-120 days postentry.

2022 Little Miss Queen’s Farewell

I have had an incredible year being Little Miss Perry County! I really liked petting the cows and pigs at the fair and thought the tractor pull was really loud! The demolition derby, you know where they hit the cars, I really, really thought that was super cool! My princesses Kyla and Claira were so nice to me and I love them very much. My family wants to thank the board for their kindness and we love living in Perry County!

2022 Junior Miss Queen’s Farewell

As I look back this past year, I’m so thankful and honored to have had the experience of being your 2022 Junior Miss Perry County Fair Queen. I’ve made so many memories with my queens that I will cherish forever. From going to the Perry County Fair, attending parades, going to Springfield to watch Kyla in the State pageant, to the tractor pulls and demo derbies, I’ve loved the experience and every moment I’ve had representing Perry County. Thank you to the Perry County Fair Board, my Pageant Director and Kyla and Mia for making this year so much fun!

Your 2022 Jr. Miss Perry County Fair Queen, Claira Folden

Miss Perry County Fair Queen’s Farewell

This year has easily been the most memorable one yet! I graduated college last year, started a new career, moved out of my parents house, was crowned Miss Perry County Fair Queen, got engaged, and placed 3rd runner up at the Miss Illinois County fair queen pageant!! I could not have done this if it wasn’t for the people around me tonight.

I would first like to thank the fair board for this amazing opportunity. There is so much you guys don’t see. They pour their hearts and souls into this fair. Second, my director, Stacey Jones, I will never take for granted the wisdom, jokes, and life lessons you have taught me! Thank you for always making me look and feel my best! Next my queens. Claira Jo, you were my little miss in 2014, and now my junior Miss. You have grown into an amazing, fun, down to earth, young lady. Mia, you are one sassy little girl and I hope your parents get you that Koala one day. Keep being yourself girls! I love you! To my family, I know I am not the easiest to handle, but thanks for always being a call or quick trip away! Lastly, my Fiance, Will, you are the real MVP. Thank you for always supporting me and listening to all my speeches, even though you’ve heard them a thousand times. I will forever be thankful for each and everyone of you who have supported me throughout my year. Thank you.

To all the young ladies out there tonight. Say yes. Be bold. Compete next year. This is an opportunity of a lifetime. Not only will you grow in professional and public speaking skills, but you will grow so much personally too. And that is what pageantry is all about! So next year when you see applications go live, apply. I promise you won’t regret it!

As for me and what’s next, I still plan to get my CDL and honk that horn. This August, I will be getting married to the love of my life and reside in Effingham with Will and our Golden retriever, Lucy. There have been a lot of changes this year and I am so thankful to have my queens, Stacey, the fair board, and my family be there for me along this journey. For the last time,

I am your 2022 Miss Perry County Fair Queen, Kyla Epplin
