“o y s t e r q u a r i u m ” p a v i l l i o n through the exploration of movement tracing and 3D building of abstract form, surfaces and space is being created out of the box . unusual as it seems, these surfaces can be seen from the right corner next to this text, they display shapes that are not usual to absurb architecture. Here the form will drive the function. here the futuristic concept of mankind chanllenge towards water area will be publised. derived from movement tracing, 3D models, biology study and cultural study, here is the final pavilion design aiming to portray and function like a giant oyster with permeability quality of fabric. cultural study of fabric permeability is being impeded with varisties of diagram and graphic in order to understand the realationship between air holes and membrane. here the quality if transfored into quality of transclucent surfaces that layer and overlay each other to present different levels of clarity.

Oysterquarium derives from the combination of words “oyster” and “aquarium”. This architecture here aims to portray the quality of being a giant oyster pavillion. Why oyster? as the site locates in the prime hudson river area, it is known to many of new yorkers about the oyster. its quality is able to purify water is tantalizing. so, here, it becomes the challeng of how to build an oyterlike-architectyre.

“0 ” p a v i l l i o n The “0” pavilion is a conceptual yet habitable pavilion. The form derived from robotic part, such as a rm, legs or any part which combines of soft and hard edges. The selected part for this pavilion comes from right leg of “Gipsy Danger” from “Pacific Rim”. The cover of upper legs transformed through distorting, repetition, and etc. The pavilion will be called “0” to represent unusual inspiration towards its form and its flexibility of habitable quality.
