OUR APPROACH

At Pilgrim School, the unique qualities of every student are at the heart of what we do. We are committed to fostering an environment where every student is known, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Small class sizes, dedicated faculty, and individualized mastery-based learning strategies ensure that each student receives the support and challenge they need at every stage of their academic journey. Our commitment to small class sizes allows teachers to tailor instruction to meet the needs of their students, offering extra support where needed or providing advanced materials to challenge those who are excelling.

Pilgrim School, established in 1958, is a college preparatory institution located in Koreatown, Los Angeles. We are committed to nurturing an inclusive community that serves students aged 18 months through 12th grade. Our mission is to inspire and challenge students to better themselves and the world around them.

JOYFUL EXPERIENCE

At Pilgrim School, we take great pride in creating a joyful environment where students can learn and thrive. We recognize that a positive and uplifting atmosphere is essential for nurturing a love for learning and unlocking each student’s full potential.

We harness the power of hands-on activities, project-based learning, and interactive technology to ensure the educational journey is exciting and relevant. Our students feel empowered to explore their interests, think outside the box, which leads to a lifelong love for learning.

OUR PROGRAM

Education is an incredible journey that goes well beyond just academics. At Pilgrim, we are committed to fostering social, emotional and academic learning. At Pilgrim, we are committed to fostering social, emotional and academic learning, empowering students to not only excel in their studies but also blossom into well-rounded global citizens, enthusiastic collaborators, curious learners, and kind-hearted individuals.

Our Amaze program, led by our school counselor, provides a safe and supportive space where students can dive deeply into exploring identity, embracing differences, and challenging biases.

The Elementary School program includes Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, World Languages (Mandarin or Spanish), Studio Arts, Music and Band, Physical Education, Dance and Library.

Recognizing that parents have busy lives and varying schedules, Pilgrim offers an afterschool program. Students can participate in enrichment classes, attend our supervised home practice club, and enjoy free play with their friends in our lovely outdoor areas.

THE PILGRIM COMMUNITY

Pilgrim School is a close-knit, down-to-earth, and culturally diverse community where collaboration and mutual respect are at the heart. The school fosters an environment where families, faculty, and staff come together as essential parts of our community.

The Pilgrim Parent Association (PPA) hosts many events throughout the year that bring families together in support of the school, fostering lifelong connections with one another.
