Mica pigment, Organic Gel Food Coloring

A mineral called Mica has a glassy sheen. There is no disintegration of it. It has a clear or yellowish hue to it by nature. To create the coloured micas you see all over our website, and in various types of makeup, pigment companies will colour Mica with a pigment or occasionally with a dye.

Epoxy resin, soap, candles, cosmetics, and even translucent polymer clay benefit from the addition of colour and sheen provided by this mineral. Mica is different from pigment powder in that it primarily produces a shining or bright effect, whereas pigments are the actual colours.

From where do Mica pigments arise?

Mica Pigment is a mineral that is naturally present in rocks all over the world. The resulting mica powder is made by grinding these tiny, bright rock flakes. This powder has the appearance of fine glitter and is available in various hues and effects, making it a fantastic natural colourant.

Kind of Mica Pigments-

The three most common types of Mica Pigment are muscovite, an aluminium and potassiumhydrated silicate; phlogopite, a magnesium-containing mica; and biotite, a ferromagnesian variety. The largest reserves of Mica in the world are located in India, in the districts of Nellore and Bihar, respectively.
