Our classes are designed to introduce Spanish to your child through seeing, hearing and connecting pictures/objects to Spanish sounds and vocabulary by utilizing songs, crafts, movement, stories, creative visual aids and games to reinforce the innate ability of your child to learn languages Student will learn: colores, frutas, numeros, alfabeto, animales, dias de la semana, saludos, vocabulario del cuerpo, de la casa, y tanto mas (lots more)! Twilight Camp

Join the Piedmont Council BSA for three nights of fun activities geared towards 1st and 2nd graders in the week leading up to Halloween Campers will rotate through three stations each evening, building raingutter regatta boats, making themed crafts, eating yummy treats, and more! Twilight Camp is open to all grade school age youth Parents/Guardians should plan to attend with their child, especially for youth in K/1 grades

We’ve designed a high-energy, stimulating approach to chess that is great for all ages Classes are typically divided into different skill levels Students will spend much of their time playing each other and challenging the instructor At the beginning of each class, we have a brief question and answer session on a certain topic, challenging students with exercises and puzzles Each class ends in a tournament where the winner takes home a trophy!

Beginning Sewing

A fun class learning to sew something new! Sew a soft pillow using colorful fabric and move on to sewing more fun projects Class focuses on hand-eye and focusing development . Each student learns basic hand stitches: such as the back stitch, running stitch, whip stitch and the magical prick stitch! Students learn safe and proper use of needles, scissors, threads and fabric types With each completed hand sewn project, the student then moves on at their own pace to a more advanced sewing project—all while learning different techniques and sewing terms . This is a small group class held in a homelike cottage Students listen to stories on tapes/CDs while sewing on their projects
