Piedmont Middle School Girls Volleyball Teams

Register by August 11th for pre-season assessments The team’s first meeting will be Monday, August 14th Assessments will be Tues, August 15th–Thursday, August 17th (times TBA) Assessments are used for team placements All registered participants will be placed on a roster Piedmont Middle School enrollment is required

Developmental volleyball is available for 6th-8th grade students (see page 45) Players may not participate in both competitive and developmental programs

Practices will be approximately 1 5 hours and game times vary throughout the week Schedules will be finalized after teams are created Registration costs cover uniform

Piedmont Middle School Coed Flag Football Teams

Represent the Scots in this Fall’s Flag Football program . Designed to foster teamwork and a love for the game, this program offers students the chance to learn and compete With experienced coaching, skill-building drills, and competitions against neighboring schools, students will develop essential football skills and build team camaraderie

Did you know Flag Football is now a girls’ official high school sport? Join for an exciting opportunity to get ahead of the game or learn the basics Whether you’re already familiar with flag football or completely new to the sport, the program offers a chance for girls to kick-start their football journey

Practices will be approximately 1 5 hours and game times vary throughout the week . Registration cost covers sports jersey . Due to the construction project at Witter Field, practices will occur at Coaches Field (898 Red Rock Rd ) Transportation will not be provided Walking time to Coaches Field from Piedmont Middle School is approximately 25 minutes Practice and game times will be scheduled accordingly to allow for travel Piedmont Middle School enrollment is required

Piedmont Middle School Coed Cross Country Team

grades 6–8 r$310f

Represent the Scots out on the course Cross Country allows students to develop stamina, strength, and mental resilience through long-distance running Guided by experienced coaches, athletes will engage in regular training sessions that build endurance, improve form, and build core muscles through warm-up exercises and cool-down Runners will also have the opportunity to participate in meets with other middle schools staged within scenic local parks in the East Bay

Students should be able to run a mile or 12 minutes continuously at any speed and attend practice at least two sessions a week

Piedmont Middle School enrollment is required. Registration cost covers sports jersey Note: Due to the construction project at Witter Field, practice times and locations may vary throughout the season

Recreational basketball is available for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders (See page 33 for Recreational Basketball League) . Players may not participate in both competitive and recreational teams .

Join the fun and engaging game of volleyball . Whether you’re a beginner seeking to learn the fundamentals or an experienced player looking to refine your technique, this class offers a supportive and engaging environment for players of all levels Coaches will provide guidance, focusing on skill development and teamwork, designed to cover various aspects of the game, including serving, passing, setting, attacking and defense Each session will build upon the previous one, allowing players to progress steadily Players will be taught practice skills and techniques through drills and intramural scrimmages Program meets on Wednesdays and Fridays
