Today, we would like to bring to mind the portraits
o Paresthesias in feet, MRI: 1 periventicular Gd+ lesion, 1 periventicular T2,
we have been discussing during the past days.
EDSS: 1.5 o Treatment initiation: immediate start on Aubagio August 2016 (9 months on Tx), she experienced 1 relapse that triggered a visit:
WHO SHE IS
o Worsening complaints of paresthesia, associated with dizziness. 3 weeks’ duration with good recovery
24; female; single; medical student
o Fatigue has worsened and the patient complaints of cramps
Strong willed by nature, Sara is not resigned to letting MS take control of
o Recent MRI showed 3 new juxtacortical Gd+ lesion
her life. She has learned all that she can to better understand the disease and
o Change in EDSS: 2.0

What Sara feels is most at stake: Planning for Future “Being physically active is more than enjoyment, it’s my life. Walking is how I get to classes everyday. Hiking is my favorite activity. Will MS take that away from me? And one day, I hope to become a pediatrician. Will my dreams of finishing medical school be lost to worsening of my disability?”
