Accountancy Week Celebration
The COVID‐19 pandemic has led to a dramatic loss of human life and jobs. In a wink of an eye, our social life has changed due to the imposition of different types of quarantines in our country, we have the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ), General Community Quarantine (GCQ), Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) and other quarantine measures to protect each and every individual. Despite the adversities, PICPA Rizal Chapter will rise as one and Transform: Embracing Possibilities, Realizing Potentials.
PICPA Officers and members headed by President Elect Rosemarie C. Gatlabayan welcomed the celebration Accountancy Week with the customary Thanksgiving Mass on July 12. Some of the officers and members physically joined the Holy Mass while some were present online.

On July 15, on the 4th day of Accountancy Week Celebration is truly filled with learning and inspiration. PICPA Rizal Chapter had the opportunity of having a productive virtual dialogue with the Revenue District Officer 045, Mr. Vicente Gamad Jr. He shared the bureau’s best practices and the collection efforts they exerted that helped them somehow meet their targeted collection even in this unprecedented period of pandemic that adversely affected the economy of the nation as a whole.
The accountancy week celebration contains lots of inspiring activities. After a virtual dialogue with Revenue District Officer Vicente Gamad in the morning, PICPA Rizal Chapter ushered the afternoon with another fruitful webinar titled “Digital Transformation Leaders in this Digital Age” from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Chapter’s guest of honor is Honorable Vice Mayor Josefina “Pining” Gatlabayan. Her message truly lifted the Officers spirit as she encouraged the team towards commitment and perseverance.


Mr. Wilfredo O. Baltazar, ACPAPP President and Audit Partner of Navarro Amper & Co. (Deloitte Philippines) talks about value beyond audit and making an impact that matters. He shared the changing auditing techniques and procedures amidst the challenges of pandemic, i.e., risk identification (issues) and assessment procedures (considerations). Towards the end of his discussion, Mr. Baltazar reiterated that as Audit clients are implementing and progressing in digital transformation.







TURNOVER AND INDUCTION CEREMONY
The 15th Turnover and Induction Ceremony was conducted by PICPA Rizal Chapter for the outgoing officers of FY 2020‐FY 2021 and incoming officers of FY2021‐FY 2022. was held on July 17.
The first part of the program started at 4:00 pm with doxology followed by the singing of Philippine National Anthem and PICPA Star hymn. Dr. Enrique C. Pinos, past President, call the program to order. The turnover ceremony officially began at 5:30 pm and President Danniboy P. Cero delivered his inaugural address. One of the highlights of the program is the most awaited keynote message from National President Marydith C. Miguel. She also inducted the new officers for FY 2021‐2022. The first part of the program ended at 6:53 pm and the fellow‐ship lasted until 7:30 pm.
