Design Office | Norfolk, Virginia | 5,000 sq ft

Concept

Bringing the modern, timeless and elegant designs PJF Interiors creates for their clients into their own office, my goal is to emphasize the cutting-edge and innovative culture of the firm. By utilizing a neutral color palette consisting of whites, browns, blacks, and pops of reds, the firm evokes a sense of strength and sophistication our employees emphasize in their own designs. The design of the space reinstates the firm’s brand and identity, further enforcing a productive, collaborative, and ideal experience for both the employees and clients.

Materiality

Rough materials such as marble, cement, and tile are incorporated into the space to create a more contemporary and industrial atmosphere to reinstate the company’s branding identity These materials are also easily maintained and are made of natural materials having minimal impact on the environment

Also incorporated are softer materials such as leather and carpet to create a contrast, yet balanced environment with the rougher materials I placed these materials specifically to support different activities In the open workspace and materials library, carpet is utilized for acoustical comfort and then the leather seating and softer fabrics in the lounge areas are used for a more relaxed and comfortable space.
