By: Leonard T. Pineda I ILOILO CITY, June 30 (PIA6) --- President Benigno Aquino III lauded the strength, industry and talent of the Ilonggos which paved way for the implementation of big time development projects in the city and province of Iloilo. In his message during the inauguration rites of the Iloilo River Plains Subdivision Phase 1 Project in Bgy. Lanit, Jaro district during his recent visit here, President Aquino said that the astounding transformation in Iloilo is the result of careful planning, collective efforts, and appropriate use of government funds. President Aquino said that the success of these big time

projects stemmed from the unity and cooperation of the national government, the local government units, and the private sector. President Aquino also assured the residents that he will continue to seek reforms so progress will be continuous. “Habang umaarangkada nga po ang kalakhang Iloilo sa kaunlaran, tinitiyak natin na sa ating mga Boss na Ilonggo ay walang maiiwan,” he said. Aside from the inauguration of the P170-million NHA housing project, President Aquino also led the inauguration of four bridges along the Iloilo Circumferential Road (C-1) Jaro Bridge II worth P2.1 billion and the two-kilometer section of the proposed P500-million Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. Avenue Road Widening Project in Brgy.
