Over 150 years Dynamic textile history
The success story of SPORLASTIC is rooted in our company’s origins: Together with LUISA CERANO GmbH, we are part of the HAUBER Group from Nürtingen near Stuttgart. Founded in 1870 by Ferdinand Hauber, SPORLASTIC has epitomised quality and textile expertise in two seemingly different worlds – fashion and orthopaedics – for over 150 years The combination of the two worlds unites textiles, fashion and orthopaedic knowledge – successfully implemented in the innovative supports and braces made by SPORLASTIC. As a family company for five generations, we serve as your competent partner when it comes to medicine and the orthopaedics and health care supply sector.
Working with physicians, therapists and technicians, we develop products and solutions to comprehensively treat the human musculoskeletal system. After all, we know that the best results are only achieved when skills complement each other. We not only implement measures to reduce CO2 emissions at the Nürtingen site, but also design our products to be more sustainable. Breathable 3D flat knitted fabric with recycled yarn was specially designed for the SUPREME series. Our ORGANIC series boasts a unique design, recycled materials and a reduced carbon footprint

DiGA – the digital health application
› App available by prescription
The digital health application RE.FLEX as an app on prescription offers a detailed and indication-specific training programme for patients with gonarthrosis. This allows the guided and controlled exercises to be carried out independently. Using motion sensors, the app is able to provide the patient with clear instructions and live feedback on performance of the exercise. This provides improved exercise control, documents the course of therapy and relieves pressure on the doctor.

SPORLASTIC Symposia
As a leading provider, we are not only dedicated to the development of innovative products, but also to the continued development of physicians and medical professionals. Our scientific symposia offer a unique platform to exchange expert knowledge, discuss the latest findings and promote the advancement of medical standards. Below are two examples of our events held last year:
The 4 th Medical Symposium – American Football (MSAF) of SPORLASTIC GmbH was held on October 14, 2023 in Essen under the scientific leadership of Dr. med. Boris Brand, Ulrich Grünwald and Dr. med. Klaus Böhme. Together with the partners ORTEMA and REDZONE, we welcomed approximately 80 physicians, physical therapists, specialised medical supply retailers and coaches. Renowned speakers presented typical injuries in American Football, followed by inspiring discussions. The symposium was rounded out by a visit to the GFL Bowl, the final of the German championship in American football.
On September 23, 2023, the 11th Nürtingen Interdisciplinary Joint Symposium of SPORLASTIC GmbH was held at the K3N Convention Centre. Under the scientific leadership of Prof. Dr. med. Sebastian Siebenlist, MHBA, and Prof. Dr. med. Sven Reuter, the event focused on topics ranging from cartilage damage to arthrosis. Recent modern diagnostics findings and therapeutic options were presented, including interdisciplinary treatment concepts for elbows, shoulders, knees and hips. Renowned speakers presented medical and biomechanical background information as well as treatment methods. A highlight of the event was the presentation by Frank Busemann, a former German athlete, about his career and injuries. The large number of physicians, therapists and specialised medical supply retailers in attendance underscores the importance of the symposium.
SPORLASTIC GmbH thanks all presenters and participants for their interest and active discussions.
In our newsletter ORANGE NEWS, we provide regular updates about upcoming events and symposia.
