Junior Counselor & Scholarship

Junior Counselor Program

Our Junior Counselor (JC) program focuses on developing leadership skills in teens age 13-17 through working in-hand with our summer camp administrative team. JC’s are an integral part of our programming and assist in all aspects of summer camp. This program is perfect for those seeking Bright Future hours too!

The Junior Counselor program is for interested teens who want to take part in our summer activities and be the “helping hands” in a day camp setting. JC’s will have various duties in the camp program such as; setting up rooms for the day, preparing crafts, leading games and sports, being an active member of the Camp Adventure team and more.

There is no cost to participate in this program, however, interested teens must submit all necessary paperwork to be considered, as this is a competitive program and space is limited. JC’s are asked to commit to 5 of the 10 weeks of summer camp. They will be scheduled for 4 hour shifts.

To get started, please contact us at The Centre (727.771.6000) to get a Junior Counselor application. You will also need to supply a copy of your latest progress report or report card.

Teens selected for the program will complete a series of interviews and training prior to the start of summer.
