Mark your calendar for this FREE family fun tradition! The parade starts on Delaware and 12th Street and winds its way into downtown Palm Harbor. A Matter of Balance: Fall Prevention Class

Many older adults experience concerns about falling and therefore restrict their activities. Good news! Falls are preventable. This evidence based class is designed to reduce falls and increase activity levels. It’s FREE and open to those age 60 and over. Laughter Wellness Group

Did you know children laugh over 300 times a day but as adults we only laugh 30? Studies indicate that laughter may have beneficial effects to your cardiovascular health and mood. Laughter wellness is a practice involving prolonged voluntary laughter. Chair aerobics is a great way to maintain your flexibility and your activity level. Class will have you feeling good about yourself and your fitness level. Join the group for a 30-minute seated exercise class led by Lenora Rose Senior Fitness and Nutrition. Class is done without weights but is filled with a great deal of fun music and easy to follow movement. No exercise experience necessary, just bring bottled water for hydration.

Snell’s Square Dancing

Whether you’re looking to learn or are a seasoned square dancer, we’ve got the spot for you! Join Allen and Rosie Snell for a fun evening of square dancing with professional callers. Gentle Yoga for All Ages

Join Elasa Tiernan, CYT educator, for a gentle yoga hour where students will focus on learning about yoga principals as a way of life, practice gentle postures, breathing techniques, relaxation and develop soul awareness through meditation. Open to all levels including families who are dedicated to practicing yoga together.

Tap Dance (Timeless Tappers)

A fun and rhythmic adult dance class that will benefit both body and mind. Participants will learn tap terminology and technique along with combinations and choreography to incorporate the skills learned. Instructor, Tammy Ely, has an extensive background teaching dance and is excited to share her love of both Broadway style and rhythm tap dancing with you! Performance opportunities available.

Music with Mar

A perfect interactive music and movement class for you and your child to share. All songs are brain-based and aid in major areas of development such as social, cognitive, motor and language skills. Bring a mat with you. Fee of $65 for 5 class session or $15 class drop in is paid to instructor.

First Mate Boating

Ahoy matey & welcome to First Mate class with USCG Charter Captain Andy Benedict. The class will introduce fundamental skills needed to assist a Captain and become a good First Mate. Students will learn how to throw a cast net, cast a rod, boat safety and basic marine terminology. Gain knowledge in fish hooks, weights, fishing line, knot tying and how to properly rig live bait on a hook. Additionally, students will learn fundamentals of launching, anchoring and docking/mooring a boat. Class will focus on fun but will also teach safety and conservation practices.

Ballet & Tap Combo

Students will learn basic ballet and tap vocabulary and class structure. There will be an emphasis on correct posture and positioning. Students will focus on developing ballet and tap technique and reinforce their physical strength, flexibility and musicality. Individual expression through dance is encouraged at this level.

Ballet Jazz & Tap Combo I

Considered a “big kid” combo class, the dancers will be instructed in each discipline. This will allow more serious, younger dancers interested in higher level of instruction in dance to better prepare in more than one discipline, all in one class.

Youth Classes

Ballet, Jazz & Tap Combo II

This combo class is for the dancer with previous ballet training and is age appropriate for pointe work at the barre. Class will have a strong ballet curriculum and beginning pointe work for students after approval from the instructor. Jazz and tap dance progressions, turns, leaps and tap rhythms will be part of the class to create a well-rounded dancer and performer.

Junior Chef

The Junior Chef cooking class will allow students to get more comfortable in the kitchen using the oven, stove, knives, various kitchen utensils and doing dishes. Students will execute more advanced recipes during class with cuisine selections TBD.
