How is this art form expressed?

Visual art is referred to by many as the “art” itself—not knowing that there are many other forms of art. This perhaps is due to what people have been taught when they were young; that drawings, paintings, sculptures, and letterings were the only form of art. This also makes visual arts probably the most well-known form of art. All the works under this form of art shares a common ground of being seen by the naked eye—hence the name being “visual arts”. Visual arts are expressed by their artists through paintings, sculptures, drawings, illustrations, letterings, prints, photographs, and other visual works.

How does this unmask the artist's creativity?

Visual arts unmask the artist’s creativity in a way that it challenges the artist on how he will uniquely express his emotions and/or message well in his chosen form of visual art. It then sparks the artist’s mind to use different colors, mediums, textures, materials, art style, and other things to signify different things or meanings for the artist to express himself and/or his message uniquely and accurately. Since visual arts are seen by the naked eye, it also unmasks the artist’s creativity by tickling the artist’s mind on how his work of art will be visually appealing and communicating to the audience. This may be through using materials different from the conventional ones, fusing two or more types of visual art into one work of art, and modifying or adding a unique feature to the visual art.

How is this art form expressed?

Producing a film takes a lot of effort, and it's not that easy. They want to express their feelings and emotions to connect with the audience. Filming is a work of art because it has everything storyline, concept art, visual effects, photography, and many more. They have been given a chance to share their skills and abilities through their artworks and how talented they are. Through imagination and reallife stories of famous people, they share it with the people, and as time goes by, we could watch it again and improve the movie even more.

Film directors, producers, and authors have different ways of creating and imagining what the film will look like from other people's pov. They use their imaginations to create something and share it with the world how creative they are. It may take time for them to film, but they know what specific idea they have in mind and the outcome of the movie/series. It makes them unique because even though we had many films released in the past years, they never failed to impress us with the new ones. The movies that they produced represent their personalities and their techniques when it comes to making films. They want to interpret the meaning of their artwork through filming and what the audience thinks matters to them.

How is this art form expressed?

Performance Art is artwork performed live in theaters and opera houses, such as singing, dance, opera, musical theatre, and many more. They are bringing out their feelings and telling us the story and the art behind it. Actors performing arts are unique because they aren't only performing, but every performance has its message. However, they express the stories and art through body movements with meaning.

How does this unmask the artist's creativity?

Performance Art interprets the meaning and their feelings through performing with body movements. The Choreography in this artwork uses their imaginations to explore more and bring it to life. Since every artist has different uniqueness of creativity and techniques from other artists, we can see their personalities and who they really are through their work. As an audience, I appreciate every hard work and effort they put in to make an impression on people.

How is this art form expressed?

Poetry is a very creative and unique way to express emotions. Similar to other forms of literature, it makes use of words in order to deliver strong messages and feelings to the readers. It may also be voiced out, with elements such as tone, diction, rhythm, and meter. Poems may also be recited through spoken word poetry or speech choir. When paired with the right vocal performance, poems can easily sway or influence people’s opinions.

How does this unmask the artist's creativity?

The rules of poetry are much more flexible than in prose. There is no particular form that it needs to follow, no exact rhythm that it needs to follow. Firstly, poems give way to creativity through the signature style that is developed by the poet. They may follow traditional guidelines, or be carefree and choose to write freestyle. Even the physical appearance of the poem knows no bounds, and is even used as a way to improve the aesthetic or uniqueness of the poem. An example is the unusual but distinctive way in which “I(a” is written—its form provides a hint on the central theme of the poem.

Poems, like other literary forms, are also a means to challenge how people conceptualize new ways or reintroduce old ones from pre-existing themes. For instance, love—the world can be filled with love poems, and still, poets find ways to present it to the world and still captivate their emotions.

This may be achieved through the poets’ use of the following elements: Imagery, figures of speech, symbolism. Though many poems talk about love, most of them are unique because of the manner in which it is presented. For Edgar Allan Poe, love is personified in Annabel Lee (Annabel Lee). For William Shakespeare, love is described as something so beautiful that he said that if his description was wrong, then he was no writer and no man had ever loved (Sonnet 116). For Elizabeth Barrett Browning, love is presented in different similes, metaphors, and other forms of speech, such as that love was to every extent that the soul can reach (Sonnet 43).

In Architecture, art is expressed through its facade and the whole structure itself. The facade is the very first thing that we give our attention to. We usually observe and analyze the facade and be amazed at how the architect expressed his/her style in designing. It can also be seen on the design, their art language and signature details in design. It is also expressed through its structure where the architects’ imagination comes into life. Just like the works of Zaha Hadid where her creations have a different form of curvatures known for her Futurist Architecture style. Buildings, bridges, temples, churches, and airports are some of the examples of structures where architecture is expressed.

How does this unmask the artist's creativity?

Architecture unmasks the artist’s or the architect’s creativity by pushing the artist / architect to think critically and outside the box so that the structure will be aesthetically pleasing and functional for the users at the same time. It unmasks the artist’s creativity also through using different construction materials, site of construction (i.e. forests, beaches, etc.), and architectural styles. It also poses a challenge with the artist’s / architect’s creativity when nature comes to the picture for example, when the client does not want a tree to be cut, or a water formation blocked, etc. Making use of the limited available materials also challenges an artist’s or architect’s creativity. They should also keep in mind the given surroundings/ location of the proposed buildings or structure as well as the design of the building itself.

Dance is a form of art that uses the body with some music that mainly expresses one's own emotion, idea, releasing energy or even a coping mechanism or simply an escape. Most of the dances came from different ideas like living and nonliving things or by just grooving with the music itself. Dancing does not have restrictions or requirements for it to be called a 'dance', it is expressed in any way we want it or depending on the mood of the person and the music as well.

Dancing can have a different interpretation based on the person who's watching it but it also depends on the overall theme and music of the whole routine like the given examples which is native here in the Philippines. Most of the native dances here in our country are based on animals or actions/practices that we normally do like courting, fighting, cleaning, etc.

Although there have been many stories that have already been written, there will always be something new that authors can write about. If there is one thing that we can count on, it is the fact that over time, the world will evolve and unheard tales will inevitably emerge.

Literary art may also prove an author’s creativity because their craft is not only to write about the story, but to engage the audience in the story that they wrote. This art form does not only describes the elements of their story, but presents it in a way that the reader will be able to visualize a scene or sympathize with the people of the story.

Moreover, it allows the author to think outside the box when it comes to creating the concept for their story. It is a challenge to think of new angles that still pertain to a certain theme, phenomenon, genre, or historical event.
