Public architecture project no.4 Tutor: Assoc. Prof. Le Anh Duc

This is a 4-star hotel located in the center of Saigon’s District 1, next to what is considered the city’s central park - the Independence Palace. The construction location in the central area of Saigon’s architectural heritage poses challenges and requires great care in design.

The design orientation throughout the project is how to create a building that is as harmonious with the surrounding landscape as possible, a building that instead of being massive and oppressive, can continue the heritage green areas of the Independence Palace.

The selected design option includes the facades of the bedrooms with alternating green areas, combined with visually friendly wood materials. For the block that is close to the road, its facade is covered with a large piece of glass to reflect the entire surrounding landscape onto it, creating a seamless green area from the park surface to the building facade.

ture. The inpatient block is given priority to rotate the patient rooms to the North/South direction, avoiding direct sunlight and ensuring maximum comfort. In addition, a green garden is placed on the roof of the outpatient department serving the physiotherapy department as well as the inpatient unit, helping to speed up the patient’s recovery. Finally, to soothe outpatients, a garden is disigned on the ground floor to serve the needs of rest.

Nguyen Bao Tuan In developed countries, it is common to see buildings such as museums, display centers and exhibitions that contain a variety of contemporary masterpieces. Art development is the result of a developed society, where people are free to create, absorb, exchange and spread their breakthrough thoughts and perspectives to the community.

I want to design a space that feels artistically diverse in terms of space and experience, able to meet as many contemporary art forms as possible. Blurring the gap between artists and art perceivers, creates an open space where everyone’s ideas are equal.
