Fall 2009 Dear MUSC Pharmacy Alumni: During the MUSC Pharmacy White Coat Ceremony, a tradition which began in 1995, Paul Fleming, Honor Council President and class of 2011, reminded the class of 2013 that pharmacists have been considered one of the most trusted professions for almost a quarter of a century. He referenced Dr. Ron Nickel R’66 as he continued to tell the new class that, “this respect only comes because we stand on the shoulders of those who have come before us.” The College of Pharmacy on the Medical University of South Carolina’s campus has a long and proud tradition of training professionals for a career in the field of pharmacy. As deans of the SC College of Pharmacy, we are committed to being good stewards of the pharmacy profession, as well as the tradition of pharmacy on the MUSC campus. We remain grateful for what our graduates do for society and for the pharmacy profession and ask that you consider supporting the MUSC Pharmacy Annual Fund to continue this tradition of pharmacy excellence. The MUSC Pharmacy Annual Fund is a key source of expendable support that impacts virtually everything throughout the halls of the College here at the Medical University. Gifts to the MUSC Pharmacy Annual Fund: • • • •

We understand that challenging economic times calls for the re-evaluation of one’s financial commitments. We ask that you consider supporting the MUSC Pharmacy Annual Fund with a gift of any size. Every gift and every person helps impact the education of generations of pharmacists, for generations to come. Sincerely,
