KIDS’ CLUB AT FAIRLAND

REGISTRATION & HEALTH FORMS

M-NCPPC CHILD CARE PROGRAMS

This program is designed to offer children a safe, healthy, comfortable environment and encompasses a multitude of developmentally appropriate sports, fitness, and learning activities children enrolled in Grades K-6 who are between the ages of 5-12. Swimming, gymnastics, tennis, fitness games, indoor and outdoor activities, and arts & crafts are some of the many activities the program offers. Each day, time is set aside for homework and study time. Bus transportation is provided by Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS). Contact center for more details. All elementary children from other schools are welcome to attend the program but must arrange their own transportation. Children must meet the minimum age requirement by August 31.

Maryland state law requires that each child have a complete set of health forms before participation in a child care program. It is your responsibility to deliver all necessary health forms to the site at least one week prior to the start of the program. There is no exception to this policy. Your child’s registration process is complete when all the forms are received at the program site and fees are paid through the registration system. Some forms require a doctor’s signature. For M-NCPPC Therapeutic Recreation program sites, return forms to the Special Programs Division, 7833 Walker Dr., Suite 110, Greenbelt, MD 20770.

The Department of Parks and Recreation in Prince George’s County sponsors several programs to meet the child care needs of parents. These rewarding programs provide your child a variety of educational and play activities, and are licensed by and operate under the guidelines of the Maryland State Department of Education, Office of Child Care. These affordable programs are held at locations throughout Prince George’s County and are designed to provide quality care in a safe, nurturing environment by a caring and qualified staff.

Kids’ Club operates in conjunction with the PGCPS’ calendar. When county schools are closed for full days, Kids’ Club is also closed. You may pay in full or pay 10 monthly installments, plus a mandatory, non-refundable registration fee, payable in the first installment. Completed health forms and other Maryland State Department of Education, Office of Child Care mandatory forms are required for participation in this program. PRE-TEEN TIMES (Ages 10-12) Young teens will have a safe environment to come to after school. They will have time to do their homework, develop leadership skills, utilize the computer lab, and develop friendships. No transportation is provided. You may pay in full or pay 10 monthly installments, plus a mandatory, non-refundable registration fee, payable in the first installment. Completed health forms are mandatory for attendance. For more information contact the center you will be attending. Please call the facility for information about a specific program.

FEE ASSISTANCE M-NCPPC fee assistance program is available to Prince George’s County residents based on income. For more detailed information, contact the program site of interest. Fee assistance paperwork must be submitted four weeks in advance of program start date and approved before fee assistance can be applied to payments.

TRAINING In order to meet local and state requirements, it is a priority of M-NCPPC to conduct staff trainings throughout the program to improve skills in safety and child development and to ensure quality customer service. This may cause a closure or early departure to a program day. We will notify parents and guardians of such dates.
