Brian, in his role as the EVP at PGD, brings to the table an extensive and distinguished track record spanning more than 45 years of experience within the Design and Construction industries, with a reach extending both nationally and internationally. Operating at the forefront of his domain, his core mission revolves around establishing a robust and enduring client base in the spheres of Senior/Assisted Living, Multi-Family Residential, and Healthcare/Life Sciences, strategically across the regions of Connecticut and New York.
Brian’s contributions are underscored by his pivotal role in orchestrating the creation of over 4,000 units across a spectrum of Multi-Family projects spanning the Northeast. His journey, which embarked as a master carpenter, has seen remarkable advancement to his current stature as Executive Vice President at PGD. His ascendancy through the ranks, encompassing roles such as Superintendent and Project Management, culminates in his present position, leveraging a profound understanding of project dynamics to foresee and deftly navigate potential obstacles. Beyond his integral role at PGD, Brian’s multifaceted pursuits span his recording studio, where he crafts emotive acoustic compositions, his woodshop, which births one-of-a-kind artistic expressions, and his ventures into the wild, capturing the essence of nature through the lens of his camera.

ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY LUXURY UNITS





LOCATION: East Haven, Connecticut
SIZE: 36 Luxury Units
COST: $11,400,000
CLIENT: Whispering Pines Rehabilitation Community
PGD is in the pre-construction stages of this project, with a groundbreaking ceremony set for early fall 2023. This project will be a 3 story, stick built, ground-up development on a site adjacent to their existing facility located in East Haven, CT. The project will include amenities such as a cafe, rehab, laundry rooms, storage and fitness centers.
URBAN RENEWAL RENTAL UNITS
LOCATION: New Britain, Connecticut
SIZE: 65 Luxury Units
COST: $18M
CLIENT: The Lofts at Superior Ball


This project is in the final design stages and slated to begin construction in late fall of 2023. It involves the conversion of a 100-year-old post & beam warehouse into multi-family residential apartments in the heart of New Britain, CT. This will be a complete removal of all mechanicals, roof, windows, and interior partitions ‒ to be converted into affordable housing.

MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL LUXURY RENTAL UNITS



LOCATION: Cromwell, Connecticut
SIZE: 160 Luxury Units
COST: $50M
CLIENT: Belfonti Group
This project was a ground-up development on an old Nike site located in Cromwell, CT. Brian Horton was involved in the 160 walk-up units from conception to ribbon cutting. The duration of construction was 20 months and included amenities such as a pool, clubhouse, and electric car charging stations. The buildings were stabilized in short order.

LOCATION: Glastonbury, Connecticut
SIZE: 31 Luxury Units
COST: $7M
This project is in final design stages and slated to begin construction late fall of 2023. Brian Horton was instrumental in this project from the selection of the design team through approvals and construction budgeting. It involves the conversion of a 100-year-old post & beam Cigar factory warehouse into multi-family residential apartments in an historic, affluent area, of Glastonbury, CT.
