Marking Methods Rotary engraving involves removing a layer of surface material away to permanently mark text or images.

It is the most durable and legible way of marking information. This technique can be performed on a wide variety of materials including acrylic, soft plastics, rigid plastics (phenolic), soft metals (brass and aluminum) and harder metals (steel and stainless steel).

The plastics that are typically engraved are phenolic and impact acrylic laminates of different coloured layers. Engraving the top layer away reveals a different coloured layer beneath, allowing for highly legible markings. These laminates can be rigid or flexible and are suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

Chemical Etching is a process that is a fast and cost-effective alternative to traditional engraving where very fine detail, large quantities of text and multiples of the same image are required. This process recesses graphics into the surface of the metal, but unlike mechanical engraving it is a photographic process.

This means that we can resolve incredibly fine detail, any character style that you want, and very small text.

Logos can be reproduced with amazing clarity, and it is even possible to reproduce photographs.

Digital Anoprinting is a unique process that creates full colour digital images inside the hard anodised surface of aluminium. There is no surface print; the surface is pure and smooth anodised aluminium. Because there is no surface print or coating, Anoprinted aluminium is extremely safe to use where fire safety is a concern.

An advantage of Anoprinted Aluminium is that it is extremely resistant to wear. Unlike surface prints or coatings, the graphics will not wear off even with very heavy use. This makes it an ideal process for applications such as control panels or interactive displays in museums and exhibitions, where surface printing is likely to be rubbed away.

From application tapes and specialised adhesive glues (+100 C, hi-tack and long lasting), to stand-off fixings and basic screw finishes, our experienced and knowledgeable team can advise what the best fixing solution is for your engraved product.
