pewag winner G12 Plus

Through continuous development, pewag keeps setting new standards in product innovation. The pewag winner G12 Plus chain system for lifting and lashing applications stands out with top quality, maximum safety, user-friendly handling, and innovative features. Its unique chain with an intelligent profile delivers outstanding performance even in demanding applications. Manufactured in Europe, the products are made from high-quality materials and stand for durability and reliability.
Intelligent chain profile
Higher working load limit compared to G8 & G10
Weight reduction
Designed in Austria. Made in Europe
Patented products
High quality material
Cost reduction
By optimizing material use and making wellconsidered modifications in critical areas (blue) and less relevant areas (red), chain properties such as fatigue and bending resistance are improved.
Due to the same working load limit, pewag winner G12 Plus always makes it possible to use one chain dimension smaller than with Grade 8.
The unique winplus profile chain offers increased working load limit and lashing capacity, allowing a reduction in chain dimension and weight compared to G8. It is particularly robust and available in light blue powder coating.
The master links and master link assemblies are characterized by the asymmetrical shape of the master links. The optimized design of the upper rounding ensures optimum support of the load on the crane hook, while the lower section enables clear identification of the inclination angle of the chain sling. Also available with an integrated load distributor for efficient use.
The new master links and master link assemblies with integrated shortening elements require no additional connecting elements. The hook serves both as a connecting and a shortening element, making assembly and disassembly simple and tool-free. Fewer components need to be checked during periodic inspections.
A universal, drop-forged connecting link that accommodates both a shortening element and the chain. The load-bearing component (either chain or hook) is positioned centrally, ensuring symmetrical loading of the connecting link.
A variety of hook options are available to cover a wide range of applications.
The load binders enable safe and easy handling – securing loads made simple.

A “Plus” that makes all the difference by allowing the use of a smaller chain dimension in G12 Plus compared to G8 or G10.
The products from winner pro G12 are interchangeable and compatible with those of winner G12 Plus*
Chains and components are powder-coated in light blue (RAL 5012) in our factory.
Clear, easy-to-read markings on chain links and accessories enable quick and straightforward identification.
Updated product portfolio with brand new innovations and wellproven solutions. Shorter product codes simplify use.

The winner G12 Plus chain slings are characterized by higher working load limit and significantly lower weight, ensuring maximum safety and easy handling.
50% higher working load limit compared to Grade 8.
Using a chain that is one dimension smaller results in a significant weight reduction.
Worldwide, many Grade 8 chain slings are still in use or continue to be manufactured. As a market and innovation leader, pewag sets the standard. Thanks to the higher working load limits of winner G12 Plus, we enable you as the user to work with one chain dimension smaller than with Grade 8. This makes your work easier, reduces costs, and conserves valuable resources.
Our product range includes numerous practical features, ensuring that you are always up to date with the latest technology.
*Working load limits are defined as maximum values for different lifting types according to the unified method.
Limitations of use
• Especially in case of temperature loading, edge loading, impact loading or asymmetric loading, the working load limit of the chain sling must be reduced according to the given conditions.
• Before contact with any chemicals (liquids, gases, etc.), the resistance must be clarified (pewag will be happy to provide information).
• Vibration loading of chain slings must be prevented (if possible).
• Chain slings may only be used under conditions where the load cannot be unintentionally unhooked.
• Furthermore, all restrictions of use according to the "Original instruction manual for pewag standard lifting chains" apply!
Indication of the inclination angle
The special design of the master link enables users to instantly identify which range of the inclination angle (0°–45° or 45°–60°) applies.*
*Further information are available in the original instruction manual.
From 45° to 60°: The chain legs are located at the bottom outside of the master link.
From 0° to 45°: The chain legs are centered at the bottom of the master link.
Asymmetrical distribution of loads Reduce working load limit by at least 1 chain leg, e.g.: III- or IV-leg chain sling must be treated as II-leg chain sling. If in doubt, work on the assumption that the entire load is carried by a single leg.
d = Material thickness of the chain
The pewag winner G12 Plus lashing chains are characterized by their high lashing capacity and the significantly lower weight ensuring maximum safety and easy handling.
With 50% more lashing capacity in each case, it offers significantly improved load securing compared to Grade 8.

Grade 8
12 Plus * Lashing capacities are considered as maximum values for the various lashing types according to the unified method.
The load is secured by using lashing chains, which are attached directly to lashing points on the vehicle and the load itself. The tensioned lashing chains prevent the load from slipping or tipping over.
The load is pressed onto the loading surface using lashing chains. The friction between the load and the loading surface prevents the load from slipping.
All components required for lashing (chain, hooks, shortening hooks, load binder, etc.) are integrated into a single product.
Advantages:
• Easy handling
• Lower risk of errors
• Lower weight
The two-part system consists of two separate products, both of which are required to secure the load: the lashing chain and the load binder. The lashing chain consists of a chain and end fittings. The load binder contains the elements for shortening and tensioning the lashing chain.
Advantages:
• More flexibility in use
• Better access to the load binder
