globalpetroleumshow.com Record Attendance at GPS View pictures from the show Keep in touch with contacts Connect at International Energy Events Global Petroleum Show (GPS) 2012 concluded after three days of networking, presentations and world- class exhibitions. The biennial event, which took place from June 12-14 at Calgary’s Stampede Park, saw record attendance welcoming over 63,000 registrants, making it the largest show to date. GPS welcomed over 2,000 exhibitors representing over 95 countries, and expanded over 700,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. “The number of attendees has exceeded our expectations proving that Calgary has returned with a renewed sense of enthusiasm about the future of the industry,” said Wes Scott, Executive Vice President of dmg :: events, organizers of Global Petroleum Show. “The increased presence of international delegates and the calibre of exhibits we have seen this year has helped position GPS as one of the premier energy events in the world.” Opening June 12, industry experts and attendees from across the globe visited a variety of oil and gas exhibits and networking events, sharing their insights on emerging technology and the industry’s most pressing issues. This year, GPS had a wide array of exhibitors focusing on sustainable operations and promoting integrated and innovative energy practices. Key highlights of the Show included: The International Energy Leaders Forum with Keynote address from Premier Alison Redford with participation from Honourable Ken Hughes - Minister of Energy and Oklahoma’s Governor - Mary Fallin; the Opening night reception; and Outdoor Exhibition and Rodeo.
