EDITORS NOTE Greetings, Mount Baker staff and students, to the December edition of the Canine Chronicle!

December has been a great month, but it?s not over yet!

With it being December, the end of the decade is near. We have a top news stories from this decade article which is a good closing of one door and a new opening of another. It lets us remember all that happened this decade.

Something new that is being introduced in 2020 is COPPA. It will be implemented into YouTubers and may affect some favorited YouTubers and we also wrote an article about it.

Winter is here and all we can hope for is more snow. If we do get snow, something fun to do with friends and family is a snowball fight. We have nine steps on how to win a snowball fight.

If you?re not very interested in snowball fights but still want to play outside in the snow, we have sports fit just for playing outdoors in this winter season.

However, being outside too much in the cold could make people sick. That?s why we have a cold and flu season starter pack for the people who are sick or the people who are avoiding being sick.

We also have just the right article for the people who are true gamers and would rather stay inside this winter season. We have reviews of some winter-themed games so you can stay inside but not be completely isolated from winter.

Straying away from winter, the school musical was announced! The winner is Frozen. Nickelodeon also adds some new content to Netflix so more people can watch and enjoy the shows they love.

Don?t fret, we still have our traditional What Grinds My Gears and our Locker Lottery.

Help Desk Assists Students with Chromebook Problems CadeHuffman As chromebook issues continue, MBMS has a student help desk to help people fix some of their chromebook problems.

Librarian, Mr. Spencer created a student chromebook help desk during lunches to help students fix problems on their computers.

"It's something I've really

wanted to do," Spencer said. "Students are just as good at problem solving as adults."

There are multiple different students who volunteer and help during each lunch.

"There are about 12 in each lunch . Some a few more, some a few less," Spencer said. "People continue to ask to sign up and

help."

Even though many students have problems on their chromebooks, they are not using the help desk. They go to the library for help which defeats the whole purpose of the help desk. Principal Brown hopes more kids will use the help desk.

"I hope kids will actually use it,"

Brown said. "So far, not many are.

But for all those little things, it's going to free up those little things, it's going to free up our librarian and assistant to deal with the big stuff."

On our chromebooks, proper training to fix these problems isn't really given. So this help desk is supposed to help these students problem solve and fix other student's problems.

"The district trains us and expects us to kind of train people here to do that job," Brown said.

"So I think we were the first school that's actually using kids to do it so I like that as well."

This help desk idea didn't really come up to anyone as a thought.

But when Mr. Spencer came up with it, it became a great idea. ""It's something I didn't know I needed," Brown said. "Our library came up with it and I think it's a great idea."

Being in this help desk helps train these students in other things, not just chromebook smarts. It teaches them responsibility and problem solving which is extremely important in the future.

"It gives kids at our school some responsibility, which I love," Brown said. "The more responsibility, the better. Like I said, it frees up our library and then to deal with more of the bigger stuff and maybe do it quicker.

The chromebook help desk is at all three lunches and they are their to help you with issues on your chromebook that you may have.

Fined

YouTube Will Start Using COPPA's Rule More Strictly in 2020 Jayme Singh & Marissa McLean COPPA stands for Children?s Online Privacy Protection Act. COPPA will be put into action on YouTube in 2020.

YouTubers will have to label all of the videos they make and

have made in the past as either for children or for a mature audience. Along with this, they also have to label their entire channel. If they do mislabel, they could get fined as eighthgrader Sam Akau stated.

?Someone I used to watch [A YouTuber] is getting fined $40,000 because of a quote, ?mislabeled video??Akau said.

Youtube has many users, and there are about 23 million YouTubers. Having this many

YouTubers, there will be many different opinions on COPPA, as eighth grader and YouTuber Masato Womack, also known as MasatoPug has tried to explain. ?Well, I think, a lot of people are going to try to stop [COPPA],

or like, rebel because they wanna like, they want things to stay the same?Womack said.

Sixth grader Siena Cole also had some statements on how COPPA would affect YouTubers. ?There are some YouTubers that aren?t posting appropriate content for like, younger kids, but I feel like it?s not that big of a deal. Younger kids aren?t really interested in that sort of thing?Cole said.

COPPA has done a bad job of making all of its rules clear to the public. People are questioning whether or not the rules are public fair. The public does know, however, that people could get fined a great sum of money for making a mistake, as Akau stated.

Seventh grader and YouTuber Amara Brown said how COPPA being introduced and fully implemented in YouTube may change some of the aspects of the YouTube community.

?I think it?ll be negative, honestly, because it?s gonna be hard to watch the videos you want to watch if they?re always being fined and YouTubers will have, like, not get to do as much. And then, searching for video and it?ll be like ?for kids? or ?not for kids?? Brown said.

CelebratingDifferent HolidayTraditionsAl RebecaAlvarez-Flores&NaomiCho As the holidays start to get closer, you begin seeing more diverse cultures and ideas. Holidays such as Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa start getting more attention.

People also begin to talk more about their holiday traditions. A significant amount of students in MBMS celebrate Christmas during winter break more than any other holiday.

Students at MBMS have religions that affect the way they celebrate their holiday over winter break. Religion can cause different changes to different people.

Sixth- grader, Grace Kim said, ?Since I?m Christian, I go to church on Christmas.? ?[I practice] The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter- Day Saints,?

Seventh- grader, Ethan Poulson said.

People have unique and diverse traditions during Christmas because of their religion. ?We have interesting food on Christmas, we don?t eat meat on Christmas, only fish, and pasta, because it?s a Catholic tradition to not have meat,? Sixth grade ELA teacher, Mrs. Walker said. [

The traditions people celebrate during December can come from all over the world. From Europe to Hawaii, traditions are everywhere. ?[The state I originate from is] Hawaii,? Eight grader, Riley Nakama said.

Different cultures have different perspectives on holidays, like Christmas. For example, Japanese cultures don't see Christmas as a religious event but more as an opportunity to spread good luck and joy.

According to AsiaExchange.org, ?Christmas Eve is commonly seen as a romantic day when couples get to spend time together and exchange presents.?

unique traditions too, such as posadas, which are parties usually thrown on Christmas Eve. People will usually stay up until midnight, and the kids open their Christmas presents. Making a nativity scene is another popular tradition in Mexican culture.

There is also a diversity of games that can be played on the holidays. A game that is popular throughout America is the elf on the shelf. But there are many other popular games within the world, which includes the Czech Republic. ?One cheerful game popular around Christmas dinner tables in Czech Republic is predicting what the new year might bring."

Hanukkah is another popular holiday, people celebrate it based on a religion from Israel. The holiday is translated to the Jewish Festival Of Lights. Hanukkah celebrates the victory of the Maccabees over the larger Syrian army.

As stated by Kids.nationalgeographic.com, ?Jewish people celebrate Hanukkah, a holiday honoring the Maccabees?victory over King Antiochus, who forbade Jews to practice their religion."

Diversity is an impacting subject not just in our school but in the world. Even though we may celebrate our holidays differently, we all do and think about what is right for ourselves.

Mrs. Walker said, ?It?s very important because it gets my whole family together, I?ve got about fifty aunts, uncles, and cousins and we all get together at Christmas and celebrate.?

You will need candy canes, a flat candy bar, and small candies. Using 2 candy canes place them down, with the hook facing up. Then tape the flat candy bar on top of them. Begin taping your smaller candies on, and tie off with a ribbon and bow. For any confusion, there is a picture to the right.

You will need chalk paint, chalk of any kind, and a clear Christmas ornament.

Use the chalk paint to paint the outer layer of the ornament. Paint a couple layers of paint for full coverage. It is recommended to let the paint dry over night.

You will need a deck of cards, fifty-two small pieces of paper, and glue. Cut the papers to your preference and then glue them to the cards, you can customize the cards to your hearts desires. Boom, a super easy and cute way to tell someone that you care about them.

You will need a jar of your choice, water, glitter, hot glue, and an object that will fit in the jar when attached to the lid. Take the jar and fill it with water almost to the top, add glitter to the water, hot glue you object of choice on to the inside of the lid, screw on the lid and shake it up. Many students and families are scrambling around trying not to catch the flu or even a cold. But guess what?You?re in luck! Here are the top 10 tips for the flu-fighting season.

Getting the flu vaccine helps get your body ready for the flu virus. This build up of immunity helps you if you get the flu or prevent it altogether.

People who have a flu shot and get the flu are more likely to get it for a shorter amount of time due to the protection your body built up.

Your hands hold more bacteria than you think, since they touch almost everything.

Make sure that you wash your hands with soap and clean them thoroughly to kill enough of the bacteria. Even if you can?t wash your hands, applying hand- sanitizer would still help.

"Water is best for hand washing, it's just the best thing you can do for not spreading germs, but you have to do it really thoroughly," Donaldson said.

Eating healthy and exercising will help to improve your immune system. Fruits and vegetables are helpful to make sure you have all the necessary vitamins, and meat will give you protein that makes you stronger.

Exercising keeps you active which will help your body fight against viruses and that could get you sick.

3. CLEANSURFACESONCEADAY Tables, your phone, pencils, and other major items that are touched everyday, carry viruses and bacteria that are capable of giving you the flu. Cleaning them with a Clorox wipe or cleaning solution will help kill them.

"If other people are coughing or sneezing into their hands, and then they touch doorknobs and you can spread those viruses and germs," school nurse Donaldson said.

Students need to make sure to use extra precaution to prevent getting sick, with over 2000 absences due to sickness or appointment in the first three months of school.

Touching your face can potentially get you sick, as your hands touch many things, each with many germs. If those germs get into your eyes or mouth, it can get you sick.

Your mouth, nose, and eyes are the three key places of your face that germs can easily enter your body, so don't touch them.

6. STAYFIVEFEETAWAYFROMANYONECOUGHINGORSNEEZING

Even when the flu dies down, it?s better to take precaution and stay home for another day. You?re body is still carrying the virus that could still activate in the school environment. You might even be too weak to function properly or be too tired during the day to keep up with your classes.

8. DRINKENOUGHWATERDURINGTHEDAY

If someone is sick, then it can be easily transmitted from a simple cough or sneeze.

Each cough can carry germs to make you sick, so if you want to stay healthy, you need to be sure to not be in the range of the cough. Staying at least 5 feet away from someone sneezing or coughing decreases your likelihood of getting someone else?s germs and getting sick from them.

Hydration is a key factor in keeping the flu away. Water is the main fluid that keeps your body running. Technically, any liquid can do the trick, but water has no sugars or salts, and is the most healthy for you, especially if you're sick.

9. DON'TSHAREDRINKSORUTENSILS If you share drinks or utensils with someone, especially if they?re sick, it can make you sick as well.

The germs in their mouth and body can easily be transmitted to you if you share materials with them. This makes it much quicker for you to get a sickness.

10. COUGHINTOASLEEVEORTISSUE If you don't cover your cough or sneeze, the particles get released into the air which can be inhaled by other students and can get them sick.

"Don't cough into the air, where other people can get ill." nurse Donaldson said. "If you can't cough into your sleeve, cough into a tissue, then throw away that tissue and wash your hands."

I-R EADYBRAINBREAKS You know what grinds my gears!?Brain Breaks during i-Ready testing!!

Who thought it would be a good idea?A random monotone guy breathing into your ear is the exact OPPOSITE of relaxing. Brain breaks were supposed to help your brain settle down for the next part of the test, but it makes me more on edge!!

You can SEE the looks of disgust on your classmates? faces during testing and immediately know that they?re on a brain break. If you?re also on one, you make eye contact with your other suffering acquaintances and share the moment of grief and misery.

The intense sounds of the demonic breathing sounds like the guy is sucking your soul out bit by bit. Excuse me, but I don?t think humans? breathing should even SOUND like that! He should go to the doctor some time to make sure he doesn?t have a LUNG DISEASE. This year our school has implemented AVID with a big focus on organization, hence the binder checks. You would think teachers would now find it necessary to hole punch their handouts/assignments.

But no, they hand it out without whole punching it and your life becomes a Choose Your Own Adventure.

If you choose the first option, turn to page 52 and create a pile of papers on a desk at home or in a folder. As time passes, the stack becomes a disorganized vortex where all lost papers end up.

With the second option, flip back to page 18 and place the papers between two hole punched papers in your binder. While this seems like a good option, there is a high chance of the paper being lost, wet, or crumpled.

Despite all these choices and struggles students have to go through, teachers still insist that the reason you inevitably lost the paper is because, "you just can't keep track of things." You might as well have created a third option: just recycle the paper the moment you step out of class.

You know what grinds my gears!? Extra Long Fingernails! Have you ever been doing a test on your chromebook and suddenly hear the loud CLICK CLACK , of your classmate with gigantic fingernails?I know I have.

The last time I checked, fingernails were not supposed to imitate Freddy Kreuger, they were just a part of your finger. But girls everywhere believe it is necessary to have their nails look like cats when they get angry.

What happens if you try to reach for something and your precious claws gets stuck and rips off of your nail? It probably hurts a lot, huh?

What?s the point of even having gigantic nails, for the looks? Or as a defense mechanism like, "Woah don?t come near me, or I?ll go Freddy Kreuger on your face!"

Or what happens if you?re using pencil and paper and you can?t write because your extra long fingernails prevent you from being able to write?

What are you going to do? Type on your Chromebook and disrupt the class even more? It just doesn?t seem like the smartest choice to have fatal weapons on your fingers, ready to either hurt or distract others.

This decade has revolutionized many students' lives. With the rise of technology, along with other major changes at MBMS, has impacted the way students learn. A major amount of teens spend their time on technology, specifically video games. Eighth grade United States History teacher, Ms. Thorington said it's harming their learning. ?Kids are just so addicted [to video games] they?re just up all night,? Thorington said. ?I think productivity is down for a lot of kids just because they?re so tired [because they 're awake].? [

Along with video games, another form of technology that is affecting students is social media. More students are spending time interacting online than in person.

Eighth Grade counselor, Mr. Vatne believes interacting online is, ?a lot different than talking [in-person].? ?Being able to spend time with friends in person with either playing or talking is a lot different than just communicating online,? Vatne said. ?I think that sometimes you miss out on learning some personal skills.?

"Social media often results in comparing yourself to others. This can result in low-self esteem and anxiety. More students are experiencing anxiety than when I joined MBMS in 1995," Vatne *

On January 12, 2010, an earthquake struck the island of Haiti.

The earthquake had a magnitude of approximately 7.0, having an estimated death toll of 230,000 people.

Most of the building rubble still covered the island six months after the incident.

Nine months after the earthquake, millions of people still lived in tents. Violence rose and in the next October, and a cholera outbreak killed thousands more people. [

"...I think there's a lasting effect because countries, towns, and cities have to recover and rebuild," computer science teacher Mr. Kemp said. "That takes a lot of time and a lot of money and a lot of effort to get back to where we were when those kinds of things happen."

On August 5, 2010, 33 miners were trapped underground in a mine in Chile. The miners weren't discovered for multiple days, meanwhile rescue efforts were trying to locate them.

They were underground for multiple weeks, getting food, water, clothes, and entertainment when needed, through a tube that was drilled into the ground.

StudentsDiscussWinter Sports RORYMURRY& JAYLAHBROWN Snowboarding, skiing, and hockey are popular sport favorites during the winter season. Students responded to how they felt about winter sports. ?Winter sports are fun but you can only do them once a year,? eighth grader Tyler Kuemper said.

Even though you can only participate in one season, most believed the sports were still fun and were a great opportunity for learning.

"They still aren?t better than regular sports because you can only do them at a certain time," Kuemper said.

Students discussed their differing opinions on the winter sports they would

prefer.

"I would recommend snowboarding," seventh grader Amara Brown said.

Having never skied or snowboarded she thought it might seem like skateboarding.

Kuemper recommended skiing. ?I like going fast.? Kuemper said. ?It?s really fun, and you can do it in your free time whenever you want.?

Seventh grader, Roman Blair, said that he really enjoyed skiing with his dad.

Blair explained that it is a fun sport to do in the winter.

Sixth grader Kessler Reed shared his fondness for hockey. ?I like skating and shooting the puck,?Reed said.

The most liked part about winter sports from MBMS studnets was how fun it was as well as the experience you can gain participating in them.

Kuemper believed that even with the cold weather it can still be fun but sometimes the snow is difficult to deal with. ?There?s a difference between being cold and being ?this sucks,'" Kuemper said. ?Especially when it?s snowing and the little snow pellets are hitting you in the face... or when the tips of your fingers are about to fall off.?

But sometimes there are good days that have clear and sunny skies. ?Bluebird days are when you can wear a hoodie and be comfortable.?Kuemper said.

At North Tapps MS they

have program that starts up in January every year allowing students to ski and snowboard every Friday.

Blair, Kuemper and Brown stated that it would be a new experience and good for Baker to try out. ?Kids get to experience other sports than just standard ones.?Brown said.

It puts people out of their comfort zone and would give non-sports players a new experience. ?Winter sports are definitely worth it because of the fun and excitement they bring to the winter season.?

Kuemper said. ?Again, it?s a good opportunity and it?s really fun.?

Seahawks Staff Gives Advice toMBMS Team President, Assistant Challenges Middle Schoolers Kendyll Webb For many students, middle school/junior high is often one of the most difficult times of their lives. Whether it?s struggling with academics, bullying, or even just making friends it can be a tough three years.

While it may seem like we're alone in our struggles, in reality struggling during the transition between elementary and high school is normal. Many of the people we look up to and are successful today were also in same positions.

For example, many of the people that help the Seahawks behind the scenes faced these same obstacles. For the President of the Seahawks, Chuck Arnold, his junior high experience had its ups and downs. ?I was going to a new school where I didn?t know anyone.?

Arnold said, ?I remember being lost walking around the halls trying to find my classes and going to classes where everyone already knew each other and wanted to sit next to one another."

But Arnold didn?t let his new intimidating school and other stressful situation get the best of him. ?I jumped right in and worked hard at making friends and getting to know my teachers.?

Arnold said. ? In the long run, these would be the people I spent the next 6 years with through high school.?

Obviously, education is very important for everyone for many reasons, but you need something else to make you hopes and dreams come true. Some people play a sport, join after school activity, or volunteer at various places. ?I believe [education] is one of the most important things but academics alone are not going to help you achieve your goals." [

- CHUCKARNOLD Arnold said. "Everyone needs to participate in activities outside of their classwork.

As for Chelsy West, the executive assistant to the president, her experience was similar to that of Arnold?s middle school years. ?I moved from Eastern Washington when I was going into 8th grade. I was very resistant at first since I knew absolutely no one.?

West said. ?In fact, on picture day, I actually refused to go, protesting that it wouldn?t be the same without my friends who I had known and grown up with my whole life.?

Luckily this quickly changed after the first day of school and she was able to form long-lasting friendships and adapt to her new school. ?I believe there are several different factors that contribute to someone?s success. My top 3 ingredients that I believe to be a recipe for success are education, character, and drive.? West said. ?

You could have all the education [in the] world but, if you are not able to communicate with people and have a drive for what you are passionate about, you will come up short of your dreams.?

It?s also pretty common for students to struggle with bullying during their time at junior high. ?Try not to add gas to the fire. It is important to stop bullying from the start.? West said. ?Don?t *

Arnold said. ?After hearing fun stories about the trip, I regretted not going.?

Arnold wishes he had started a language sooner due to it helping his career and advancing his communication skills.

While it may seem like you're alone in your struggles as you navigate through middle school, both Arnold and West's experiences show that this is not the case. Even the most successful people found their middle school time of their lives difficult but they survived and in the end, thrived off of these experiences.

Frozen Announced as School Play LeahBarracoso,EricaKang For the first time in forever, students are able to audition for Disney's hit Frozen. Mr. Char declared this on December 2.

Frozen the movie follows the tale of two royal sisters, Elsa and Anna, where their love saves their kingdom. One of the reasons Mr. Char chose Frozen is because of the soundtrack, which still contains lovable songs from the movie. ?The characters are mainly the same, all the music from the movie is there and in addition to more Broadway- ish songs? ? Mr. Char said.

In addition to this, Mr. Char thought Frozen would be perfect for MBMS because of its unique plot. ?"I've always wanted to do Frozen mainly because I love the storyline of the two girl characters.? Mr. Char said ?. . . [Where] Anna saves her sister and that becomes the act of true love... it's so moving.?

Some students, such as sixth grader Kailey Lemasters, agree that Frozen would be a great fit for our school. ?Technically [Frozen] is my favorite movie and I think it would be really good for people to join and [to see] what they can do onstage,?Lemasters said.

Seventh grader Jasper Hamilton, who was a principal role in the previous play, would prefer a play written by Mr. Char but feels MBMScan pull off Frozen. ?[The play will be successful] because Mr. Char is an incredible play person,?Hamilton said.

Since Frozen is a fairly new play, compared to Mary Poppins and the Sound of Music, Hamilton addresses there could also be backlash from other students. ?[Some people might not join the play because] most people view it as a little kid movie [and

Mr. Char admits that costumes are one of his weaknesses, but students will let it go after finding out what else he has up his sleeve- animations. ?Something that I?m going to be using for this production that is different from other productions is? digital animated projections.?

Mr. Char said. ?... They?re not just slides, but they?re animations. For instance, the Let it Go scene is going to be done in sequence with the music.?

Mr. Char has high hopes for the musical this year and thinks it will exceed his past plays. ?[It's] always my goal to surpass myself.? Mr. Char said. ?... That's [how] you continue growing [and] why I love the arts so much.?

On November 13th, 2019, Netflix released a press statement announcing that they would be joining together to produce new shows with new and former Nickelodeon characters. ?Nickelodeon has generated scores of characters that kids love, and we look forward to telling wholly original stories that re-imagine and expand on the worlds they inhabit,? said Netflix vice president of original animation, Melissa Cobb in a press statement. ?We?re thrilled to continue collaborating with Brian Robbins, Ramsey Naito, and the creative team at Nickelodeon in new ways as we look to find fresh voices and bring bold stories to our global audience on Netflix.?

This multi-year deal may sustain for a while, with the characters from new and old show and films. But, will this be enough for Nickelodeon and Netflix to keep up with Disney+? ?I don't think so, they're like right on their deals, they're [almost] the same now,? sixth-grader Noah Kwon said.

Even though the deal can help both parties, Disney+ still poses a major threat. Disney+launched in the U.S., Canada, and the Netherlands on November 12th, 2019. Then, on November 19, Disney+ launched in Australia and New Zeland. Even though Disney+isn't worldwide yet, it has already gained over 10 million users and is continually growing.

Disney+ has an enormous catalog of fan-favorite movies and shows. Ranging from Beauty and the Beast to every Star Wars [

movie, along with all of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. Consumers from all over the world came to Disney+, leaving other streaming platforms. Some Netflix users still stay with their current subscription, like Olivia Martin. ?[I would choose Netflix], because Disney+ is going off the charts,?Martin said.

Others, like Andrew Kilgore would change services, in favor of a new service, with many more shows. "[I would switch to Disney+]

because Netflix is dying out," Kilgore said.

With the new deal, it doesn't only include older shows. New shows produced by both Netflix and Nickelodeon will be made.

This includes a new Spongebob spin off, based on Squidward Tentacles.

While both Netflix and Nickelodeon seem to be keeping up, Nickelodeon still seems to be struggling.

Netflix also has another setback that may weaken them. In 2020, the show Friends will be leaving, because it will be added to HBO Max. In 2021, Netflix will also be losing The Office. These two shows are some of Netflix?s most popular and profitable shows. For them to leave, it?s going to leave a large impact on the already struggling company.

Even with all of the struggling that Nickelodeon and Netflix has to go though, was the partnering enough?

"I think it's a good idea for Netflix and Nickelodeon, for both to be able to compete against Disney+," Kwon said. " Because if [Nickelodeon and Netflix] win, I'm pretty sure [Disney+] will not be able to."

There is a question that still seems to be unanswered; what else could Netflix and Nickelodeon have done, or what should they have done? Would Netflix users still stay? ?If they keep adding offers up,?

Kwon said.

The situation is a difficult problem for any streaming service similar to Netflix, like HBO Max or Amazon Prime.

Television networks similar to Nickelodeon are having an up-hill battle too, like Cartoon Network. Even if it?s too early to gauge what the services will do and how they will be affected.

The game's soundtrack is soothing and beautiful, and the story is about something many middle schoolers can relate to: overcoming anxiety and depression. If you want to experience this game and its message for yourself, but you don't feel like you are skilled enough for its difficulty, there is an assist mode that allows you to modify the game to your own ability level.

OVERCOOKED!

Ghost Town Games Overcooked! is a fast-paced party cooking game that can be played alone or with up to three friends. Overcooked! tasks you with making as many meals as possible in a certain amount of time while you also try to avoid obstacles. If you want to add more holiday cheer to the game, Overcooked! offers the Festive Seasoning DLC that adds more Christmas and winter themed kitchens, although playing some of the main campaign before these levels is recommended.

ALTO'SADVENTURE

Snowman Alto's Adventure is an endless runner game where you take control of a boy named Alto and ski down a mountain to round up your llamas that escaped their pen while doing tricks and jumping over rocks and other obstacles. To make the game more interesting, there are also challenges to help you level up and unlock more characters. Alto's Adventure also has a "zen mode" where you can ski down the mountain without worrying about points, the challenges, or crashing, all while enjoying the game's beautiful soundtrack.

ELFYOURSELF

OfficeDepot Elf Yourself is an app where you can upload images of yourself, family, and friends and turn them into elves that dance to various holiday songs, which you can then download and share on various social media platforms. Unfortunately, the app only comes with two free songs, blocking the rest of them behind a six dollar paywall. Although hilarious for a little while, Elf Yourself makes sure that it gets repetitive and boring so you will want to make the purchase.

Andrew Shrader The nine movie Skywalker saga is f inally coming to an end, in December of 2019. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker marks an end of a 4 decade long saga, f irst starting in 1977, where Star Wars: A New Hope, became the start of one of the most def ining motion pictures in cinema history. The Rise of Skywalker, will be the f inal battle between the Resistance and the First Order, 'the battle that will end all battles'. Below are 20 observations of the trailer of the new-coming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

1) Rey is shown running, or possibly training, perhaps by Leia or by the Force.

2) It looks as if Rey is training on the planet Endor.

3) When training, Rey is shown getting shot at by a training droid, similar to when Luke was being trained in A New Hope.

4) Rey is shown leaping inside a ship, it looks as if she is searching for something. This ship is similar to where she is first introduced in The Force Awakens.

5) The Resistance looks as if they have grown stronger in numbers, and have found a base.

6) There is a floating ice planet, similar to Asgard, from Marvel.

7) The Emperor's throne is shown inside the ice planet. Is the Emperor alive?

8)"Long have I waited," The Emperor said. What has the Emperor been doing?

9) How has the Emperor survived? No scenes in the trailer show that he is mobile so he may be too old or just very injured.

11) Lando returns and is shown being surrounded by Resistance members. Is he the leader of the Resistance?

12) C-3PO is shown having a procedure done on his circuits. ?Taking one last look sir, at my friends.? , he states. This procedure could be the crew putting in a circuit of memories from the past into C-3P0. These memories include those of Anakin, Padme, Emperor, and more which could help them in the final battle. The memories of the past were taken away from C-3P0 in the Revenge of the Sith, so he couldn't remember the decline of the Jedi Order.

13) Chewbacca, Finn, and Po are shown running through a First Order base attacking nearby troops.
