he 2340 Big Band is proud to support Melinda Schneider as she Salutes The Great Women of Jazz.
Melinda’s reputation as a talented vocalist has been enhanced by her forays into the jazz idiom. She has released two tribute albums to Doris Day and has combined with Tom Burlinson to recreate The Hits of Doris Day and Frank Sinatra in sold out live performances at the Sydney Opera House and the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Brisbane. Expect to hear songs from the repertoires of jazz greats Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Natalie Cole and Doris Day. With guest artist Peter Ross and 2340 Big Band resident vocalists Kate Armstrong and Brad Gill, an entertainment packed show is guaranteed.
