Gun violence is a big problem in the United States. Nearly 40,000 people lose their lives due to guns each year. Mass shootings are far too common. There have been assaults in the retail, entertainment, and educational sectors, such as Wal-Mart, Sandy Hook Elementary School, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, and the Pulse Nightclub in the past decade, to name a few. President Joe Biden has a plan to stop gun violence. The Biden Plan President Biden wants to hold gun makers more accountable for whom they distribute guns. Currently, these groups are protected from civil liability for their products. One of the changes will be to end that protection. The President also wants to get weapons of war out of our communities. He will ban the making and selling of assault weapons, regulate current assault weapon sales and distribution, and limit the number of guns a person can buy each month. Prevent Gun Violence One way to reduce violence is to make sure guns don’t wind up in the wrong hands in the rst place. President Biden supports intensifying gun background checks and closing loopholes. He’ll also ban the selling of guns and ammunition online.
