THE PARTNERS OF MAYFLOWER ANTIQUES Christopher Hamlyn and Susan Harrington-James are based in Bewdley, Worcestershire, United Kingdom.

Christopher and Susan work as a team, jointly pursuing research, networking, marketing and sales, all of which we so much enjoy and makes Mayflower Antiques the strong partnership it is today.

Mayflower Antiques exhibits in London and Provincial fairs, networking on Social Media and are always developing our website, which we pride ourselves on the design and the professional photography.

We always continue to research in depth, all of our pieces have been vetted, as our reputation and integrity are of paramount importance to us.

We deal with the European and the USA market as well as the UK. Last year we sold a wonderful Venetian Enamelled Glass Bowl, Circa 1490 to the Chicago Institute of Art, please see attached PDF, which will give you an idea how special this piece is.

We are members of LAPADA, CINOA and CADA. The market for the 16th and 17th century pieces remains a challenge, but this unique period of history is so fascinating.

MAYFLOWER ANTIQUES - SPECIALIZING IN WORKS OF ART FROM THE RENAISSANCE AND BAROQUE PERIODS. As the Renaissance spread across Europe during the 16th and 17th centuries regional and cultural differences were reflected in the objects produced.

Traditional materials such as gold, silver and glass used in workshops were supplemented by the import of exotic woods and materials, such as tortoiseshell mother of pearl from newly discovered and colonized lands in the East and the Americas.

Travellers were inspired to collect 'curiosities' to exhibit in their homes, this all led to our fascination and excitement and why we specialise in this period.

All the influences of this time we seek to represent in our collection and we continue to maintain our uniqueness in this exciting era of history.
