Our facilities are second to none and are the envy of many of our visiting teams. In addition to the AGP, we have 8 grass pitches, 3 squash courts and a fabulous club house which has a 2,500 square feet function area, a café and 3 bars – a great place to host our many social events.
We have 850 active players over 35 teams from under 5’s right up to our veterans and walking rugby players. Our 1st team plays in the higher leagues of English rugby and we have one of the largest and fastest growing women & girl’s sections in the country.
Chester RUFC was founded in 1925 and we moved to our present ground at Hare Lane in 1961. The ‘new’ clubhouse was built in 1994 and we began hosting the RFU funded Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) in 2017.
We are a friendly and welcoming bunch at Chester Rugby Club. There is a real family feel and we love welcoming visitors and sponsors to our home. We look after each other and make sure that everyone has an enjoyable experience at the club, with many lifelong friendships being made.
