Moraga Road Storage

San Pablo, CA | 123,000 SF

This project was a complete ground-up build featuring four separate buildings housing nearly 1,000 individual storage units in San Pablo, California. The site presented several unique challenges, such as a fault line running diagonally through it that contributed to the one-of-a-kind building design.

The team also worked closely with engineers and local experts to incorporate seismic reinforcements throughout the entire site. Additionally, the crew discovered sensitive native artifacts that had to be carefully excavated while under the supervision of an archaeologist.

Self-Storage

Happy Valley, OR | 85,000 SF

This project featured a 4-story, ground-up, self-storage facility in Happy Valley, Oregon. The facility included a daylight basement, metal truss roofing, and a covered loading dock. The unique design included varying pitched roofs at different elevations and cultured stone on the corners of the building. Additionally, the project was built on a hillside next to the Rock Creek basin, which required our teams to excavate and export substantial amounts of dirt from the site. One of the main challenges was the constrained size of the building site, which required materials to be stored offsite and delivered ’just-in-time’ for installation.

This new self-storage facility was constructed for a family-operated regional chain as its first Portland location. Features include a steel framed structure, secure loading zone, and a variety of storage unit options.

West Coast Self-Storage

Happy Valley, OR |

98,000 SF

This project features the new construction of a 57,000 SF three-story self-storage building and the remodel of an existing 41,000 SF tilt building. With a combined 98,000 gross square feet, both buildings were completed in a compressed 11-month schedule and are designed with high-end exterior finishes and architectural towers. The jobsite was in close proximity to a major roadway which required that the project team maintain strict traffic control measures to ensure all scheduled deliveries could access the site with ease.

This new self-storage facility spans three floors and was strategically built in an urban growth renewal area with high-density residential nearby. Ample natural lighting, a covered loading area, and highend finishes in the leasing office, including quartz waterfall countertops add the finishing touches.

103,000 SF

This new facility has 793 temperature-controlled units varying in size, a covered loading area, and is wired for a 24/7 sound system. Each unit has additional oversized doors for ease of clearance and loading, and occupancy photocells with LED lighting were installed to lower the facility’s overall energy usage.

A new self-storage facility in Portland, this project consisted of ground-up construction with the majority of the units found in the larger 3-story main building, and an additional 7,000 SF outbuilding.

This project consisted of the ground-up construction of a new self-storage facility. The six-story structural post-tension concrete building is climate controlled with state-of-the-art security and will complement the recent development in the Pearl District near the Portland Waterfront.
