elcome to the National Kit Car Motor Show – known to most simply as Stoneleigh. This is the world’s biggest kit car show; nowhere else will you see such a large celebration of self-built cars. No matter whether you have a kit car of your own, are thinking of embarking on a project or simply want to come and see the spectacle, there’s only one place to be on the May Bank Holiday weekend. We have several new car debuts at the show, as well as lots of established kit car manufacturers bringing their cars along. In this show guide, you’ll find the full listing of traders who were booked in when we went to press (mid-March) and there may well be one or two more surprises by the time of the show. Stoneleigh also plays host to a wide variety of parts and accessory traders selling all manner of useful bits and bobs to keep your own project on the go. You’ll find stalls both in the halls and outside. And while you’re outside, don’t miss a walk around the owners’ clubs. You’ll see hundreds
of kit cars with owners willing to chat and share hints and tips with other owners and future builders. If you’re making a full weekend of it, don’t forget the free evening entertainment on the Sunday night. In the Warwick Complex, there’s a live band in the bar hosted by our sponsor, Complete Kit Car magazine. The magazine also puts on two seminars per day which are free to attend. Westfield Sportscars will be providing thrill rides with its drift experience, where you can have a tyre-smoking, donutting ride to remember. If you like your action a little muddier, head to the Dakar 4x4 display where these off-road kit cars are being put through their paces on the gruelling off-road course. Whether you’re here for a day, staying for the whole weekend, looking for your next project or taking the chance to enjoy the kit car you already have, we hope you enjoy your time at the National Kit Car Motor Show. DEHAVILLAND TO REVEAL ALL-NEW F48 SPORTS CAR DeHavilland Motor Company is best known for its Ferrari Dino replica, but that model is being phased out in favour of an all-new originally styled sports car dubbed F48. It’s so called because the company says it’s possible for two people to build one in just 48 hours. What’s more, they reckon it can be built for just £7000. The car is based on MGF components and has its own chassis. There’s a lockable storage space for crash helmets and other valuables when the car is left unattended. One not to miss! The car will be unveiled at 10.30am on the Sunday. Where to find them at the show: Hall 1
NEW RS200 REPLICA RS Retro is a new Essex based company that’s working hard on its new Ford RS200 replica, the B200. The Stoneleigh issue of Complete Kit Car has a feature that goes into detail on the car’s development, where it’s clear that authenticity
and close replication is the key focus for this new model. We’ve seen it under development and can’t wait to see the finished car. Be sure to check it out at the show. Where to find them at the show: Hall 2
KINGFISHER AND PIE VALLEY UNITE Kingfisher Kustoms and Pie Valley Buggies have had a year of busy development since last year’s show and will be displaying their new mid-engined Volkswagen Golf based chassis for buggies and other models that traditionally use a Volkswagen
Beetle as the basis. They will also show their new Chenowth inspired rail. Air-cooled fans will also see a range of traditional beach buggies too. Where to find them at the show: Hall 2

The Edge Devil was launched in 2004, and now it’s back! Technically it has always been available, but the team behind it is bringing the Audi A6 based single-seater back to the fore to make potential buyers aware that it’s still available. GENTRY MAKES A CLASSIC COMEBACK The Gentry Motor Car Company, maker of the Triumph based MG TF replica, is under new ownership – and is making its kit car show debut at Stoneleigh. The model is in its 45th year, and the team of Jon Burrows and Gus Goodall are looking to secure the model’s future for the long term. Don’t miss this one.
There are two seminars organised by Complete Kit Car – and they’re completely free to attend. For your free place, just head to the Complete Kit Car stand in Hall 2 for your free ticket. At 10am each day CKC technical editor John Dickens will show you how to trim an interior panel – covering the choice of materials, adhesives and other useful techniques to achieve a professional finish. At 2pm each day Jay Simkins from Simtek will discuss vehicle wiring, and why you may want to upgrade to a more modern system from Simtek.

The ever-active Blitzworld is bringing a new car to Stoneleigh, but is keeping the details hush-hush. Front men Dev Lall and Robin Hall are taking the opportunity of this year’s Stoneleigh show to re-launch the product. The yellow demonstrator will be present as will a new blue bodyshell from the new supplier. This now incorporates a front access panel to ease battery fitment and fluid top-up. The donor vehicle remains the Audi A6 C4 generation, with the best engine choice being the 2.5 V6 as fitted to the demonstrator.
