The Basics • Choose a date - it can be helpful to pick three possible dates or a time of year so you can be flexible with your venue’s availability. • Discuss budget with all parties that are contributing. • Visit ceremony and reception venues and book your dream locations as soon as possible.

The Vibe • Start to think about your wedding style and look for inspiration (creating a Pinterest page or following wedding Instagram accounts can be super helpful). • Browse stationery designs, wedding dress styles, color schemes - get those creative juices flowing! The Fine Print • Consider getting your engagement ring insured. • Start creating a wedding website. • Stay organized! Create a wedding binder or Google doc folder to keep track of files and contracts. 27

Decisions • Make final decisions with vendors (menu, flowers, time for transportation, song request list with your band or DJ, room layout with the venue, etc). • Finalize guest list and rehearsal dinner invite list. • Plan ceremony and reception seating. • Finalize readings and ceremony flow. • Book hair and make up trial. 31

Who’s Who • Notify people who are giving toasts (remind them that 2-3 minutes maximum is best). • Track RSVP’s and assign seating. • Delegate! There are lots of small to-do’s that can be doled out to family members and your wedding party. 32

Think about the style of the exit you want to have. Is it a more formal affair? Then a limousine filled with your entire wedding party is the way to go!

How many people do you need to transport? When your wedding party is very large, you may need more than one vehicle. You might also consider a luxury bus.
