We had fun coming up with new non traditional ideas, like having flower men walk down the aisle and passing on their bouquet and garter to the longest married couple in exchange for marriage advice. romantisme “Before the Victorians, the Romantics tried to make sense of our world by feeling.� - Carissa Simmons Moore New Mexico has gifted us with so many incredible landscapes that have inspired artists all across the globe, the Bisti/ DE-NA-ZIN Wilderness inspired the vision and set the tone for this romantic affair. The idea was to take a Victorian bride and set her in the middle of a stark almost barren background. We respect that each bride has her own vision, her own dreams and desires; Terese Rose Designs works with each bride to help express her individuality. By working one-on-one with each bride we can design and create the ideal gown specific to her. In this case we wanted to show the contrast of the hard rock formations and the softness of the chantilly lace and silk chiffon. The tablescape is decadent and rich in color and in substance, creating that mirage in the desert. The juxtaposition of the vibrant florals against the neutral pallet tied it all together. The bride and groom are off in a faraway world of their own creations and breaks out of the conventional norms.

I chose the colors gold and “50 shades of pink” because what girl doesn’t love pink, and no girl likes just one shade of pink. I knew I wanted peonies, ranunculus, and roses with a touch of eucalyptus. Surprisingly Miguel didn’t have an opinion on what color or flowers we choose as long as he could wear a navy tux with brown dress shoes. Kayla + Roman | December 28, 2018 Our wedding at Los Poblanos was absolutely perfect. As the bride, I wanted a venue that I knew would take care of everything for me. On the day of my wedding, I enjoyed every minute with my loved ones and had no stress knowing the staff there was handling it all. My husband and I were both dreading the photo aspect of the wedding, but it ended up being our favorite part of the wedding. It ended up being 25 degrees on our wedding day, and we spent 2 hours taking photos and walking the grounds. Those 2 frigid hours were the most intimate part of our wedding. Los Poblanos was absolutely gorgeous in winter, and despite the cold weather, we could not be happier to be outside together before our ceremony. - Kayla, Bride

For this styled shoot, we drew inspiration mainly from black and white images. We wanted to challenge ourselves creatively to focus more on shape, form, texture and light than we normally would. Our vision was for stark contrast, and striking shapes, and we achieved it by shooting the way we would if we were only shooting black and white film. The team was absolutely incredible, and we’re so grateful that Amanda and Melissa were on the same wavelength from the start!
