The Garden Rooms on the ground floor open onto a small patio garden, while on the top floor the large and lovely two-bedroom Penthouse Suite with four wonderful terraces and a Jacuzzi is the pièce de résistance. “We have loads of repeat guests year after year who use the penthouse like their own Cape Town beach home,” says the owner. “It’s even perfect for families as the second bedroom is ideal for tweens and teens.”
A factor that adds to the home-from-home comfort are all the facilities of a small hotel. There’s a nightly turndown service, and a legendary breakfast spread each morning. The Nespresso stations, televisions, air conditioning, underfloor heating in the bathrooms and well-stocked minibars add discreet ease. The small, hands-on team assists with queries, dishes out local advice, makes bookings and arranges dinner (either at a local restaurant or by helping you order a delivery from Uber Eats if you want a night at home). From 4pm until midnight, the pool bar is open to make the most of the sundowner atmosphere.
