CEO Ashton Wood said the group was created in 2020 after he spoke to a senior police officer who told him the biggest thing they needed was mobile phones - as when things went bad, phones were often the first thing to be taken. make all the difference. Since launching the concept the group have delivered more than 1000 phones and raised nearly $50,000 to help DV victims. Cr Suarez has provided funding for 25 phone drop boxes to be distributed within Division 9 and phones can already be donated at participating businesses, such as White Tigress Coolum, or Council offices.
