Happy New Year! Summer time is here and the beaches are ready to go.
BRING ON THE NEW YEAR AS WE LAUNCH INTO 2022 ALL EYES WILL BE ON THE LOCAL PROJECTS RESIDENTS HAVE BEEN KEENLY FOLLOWING FOR YEARS.
At Peregian Beach, the completion of the new Community House at Rufous Street is expected in 2022, and the Essence of Peregian development on the land behind the IGA is slated for opening at the end of the year. Those involved in surf life saving will be keeping a keen eye on the volunteer numbers this summer as the club pushes forward in a Eastern Beaches News - January 2022
bid to become independent of the Noosa Heads Surf Club and start moving towards a traditional set up of sporting club and supporters club. At Sunrise Beach, the locals will be watching the progress of Blue Care’s proposed aged care and retirement village venture at 9 Grasstree Court. The project has had much attention given its location falls within a well known feeding ground for Black Glossy Cockatoos and some fear the construction will drive the birds away. The Federal election is coming too with voting expected by May.
