Perdana Shipping Agency’s protective agency team act as your business’ eyes and ears, watching over your port calls and vessel operations to make sure that you are protected from any indiscretions.

You should consider using a protective agent when you are in unchartered territory, there are complicated rules surrounding additional charges, or you are unfamiliar (or uncomfortable) with the nominated agent.

We offer protective agency both for shipowners (OPA) and charterers/cargo owners (CPA) to supervise the counterparty’s agent throughout the port call.

As protective agents we ensure that your interests are well taken care of. This helps you avoid any conflict of interest that may arise with many stakeholders involved in a port call.
