At the College of Health Science, we are dedicated to fostering student success both academically and holistically through meaningful activities that strengthen community within our campus. Our healthcare programs are supported by initiatives designed to enhance learning, well-being, and professional development in a collaborative, student-centered environment. We aim to provide exceptional service to students rooted in Pepperdine’s mission of strengthening students’ lives for purpose, service, and leadership.
The college’s Office of Student Services supports each student’s academic pursuits through advisement, tutoring support, academic coaching, and linking students to Pepperdine resources across the University. Regardless of the program or its delivery modality, each student is assigned an advisor to assist them through their academic program. We encourage students to meet their advisors, seek learning opportunities, attend professional events, and build relationships with fellow students, faculty, and staff.

Academic Advising at the College of Health Science is a collaborative process focused on students’ success. Our advisors work closely with students to help them make informed decisions about their academic paths, connect with opportunities, and stay on track for graduation.
Students are encouraged to request individualized advisement appointments with their academic advisor whenever they have questions regarding their academic program or student record.
College of Health Science students taking courses in Malibu will be preregistered into a set of foundational courses curated to ensure alignment with their general education and nursing program requirements. This approach helps reduce the stress of course selection during the onboarding process and provides a structured introduction to the University’s academic expectations.
Beginning in their second semester at Seaver College in Malibu, BSN students will be responsible for self-enrolling in non-nursing or Core and elective courses. They will receive guidance from academic advisors and have access to
planning tools and resources to support their course selection and long-term academic planning.
College of Health Science students taking courses in Calabasas and online will progress through a cohort model, following a prescribed sequence of courses aligned with their program’s curriculum requirements. Courses must be taken in the designated order, as any changes may impact academic progression and delay graduation. Students will be registered for their courses each term by the college’s Student Services team.
Students can track their academic progress through the use of the degree audit report (DAR) in WaveNet. Your DAR will confirm for you which classes you have completed, are in the process of completing, and which you have left in order to complete your degree.
For questions regarding your curriculum, consult with the College of Health Science Academic Catalog applicable to your term of entry, or applicable to the term of a program plan change

The College of Health Science is dedicated to supporting student achievement through personalized academic resources available both in person and online. Tutoring services include subject-specific support, writing assistance, academic coaching, and access to simulation labs for hands-on learning, as well as skill-development coaching, such as inserting an IV. Sessions are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis and may be delivered in small groups or one-on-one, depending on tutor availability. Designed to promote persistence and content mastery, these services empower students to build effective study strategies and thrive academically.
Financial aid awards are based on an analysis of the student’s financial aid eligibility and enrollment status. Students must reapply for financial aid before the start of each aid year. Students must be enrolled half time to receive a Federal Stafford Loan and full time in course work to receive institutional grants or scholarships. All financial aid may be adjusted upon review of a student’s eligibility and enrollment status at and after the start of the term.

Students are responsible for anticipating total tuition and fee charges and should be prepared to make appropriate payment on or before the first day of the term. If financial arrangements are not completed by the last day of the add/drop period, finance charges will be assessed. The Student Accounts Office provides student account information and processes tuition payments, company reimbursement, and student refunds. To review your Pepperdine student account activity, including detailed information about tuition charges, payment due dates, financial aid credited to your account, or refunds processed, log into your WaveNet account and select the “Finances” button from the “home” page.
Students may drop classes without tuition penalty during the add/drop period only; however, once students have registered for a term, if all classes are dropped after the initial registration through the last day of add/drop for the term, a charge of $150 is assessed. Students withdrawing from courses after the add/drop period are subject to the partial tuition refund policy. You may view the tuition refund policy in the 2025–26 College of Health Science Academic Catalog or on the College of Health Science Student Accounts website. seaver.pepperdine.edu/student-accounts chs.student.accounts@pepperdine.edu 310.506.8000

College of Health Science students enrolled in the four-year BSN program are required to live on the Malibu campus during their first two years of the program. The residential experience provides students the opportunity for peer and faculty interaction, enhanced learning, and academic, social, and spiritual growth. The Housing Portal is open for new first-year and transfer students to submit their housing applications for the fall 2025 semester. New students who submit applications after the deadline are still guaranteed housing due to the residency requirement, but are not guaranteed notification of their placement. All placement notifications will be sent prior to check-in day.
Graduate and BSN two-year–transfer pathway students are not required to live on the Malibu campus, and are encouraged to explore off-campus living arrangements. Additional information and resources can be found on page 16.
