Welcomenote

DearParentsandGuardians,

Welcome to the Peponi House 1:1 iPad Programme. We are delighted to embark on this exciting journey with you and your child as we embrace purposeful and innovative digital learning.

At Peponi House, we recognise that technology is not just a toolit is a powerful enabler of creativity, collaboration, and deeper thinking. Through the 1:1 iPad Programme, we aim to equip every learner with the digital skills and responsible habits needed to thrive in an ever-evolving world.

This handbook has been designed to clarify how the programme works, what is expected of pupils and families, and how we can work in partnership to foster a safe, balanced, and meaningful learning experience.

We are confident that, together, we will nurture confident, ethical, and techsavvy learners who are prepared for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.

Warm regards,

ThePeponiHouseDigitalLearning&InnovationTeam.

PurposeoftheiPadProgramme

The Peponi House 1:1 iPad Programme is designed to integrate digital learning into the core of our educational experience. By giving each pupil access to a dedicated device, we aim to:

Enhance engagement through interactive and learner-centred learning.

Provide opportunities for creative expression using multimedia tools.

Enable access to differentiated and inclusive resources. Equip pupils with digital skills necessary for secondary education and beyond.

Promote safe and ethical use of technology as part of character formation.

PartnershipwithParents

Your role as a parent or guardian is critical to ensuring the success of this initiative. The school provides structured use during lessons and filtered access, but we rely on your support to:

Monitor how and when the device is used at home. Have regular conversations with your child about online conduct.

Model healthy digital habits (e.g., tech-free family times).

Notify the school of any concerns related to device use, wellbeing, or safety.

Encourage responsibility by ensuring your child charges and handles the device with care.

DigitalCitizenshipStudentProfile

At Peponi House, we believe that nurturing responsible, respectful, and informed digital citizens is as important as developing academic excellence. Our Digital Citizenship Profile outlines the core attributes we seek to instil in every learner as part of our 1:1 iPad Programme and wider digital learning strategy.

Together with parents and teachers, we are shaping

digitallyliterate, ethicallygrounded, andsociallyresponsible learners prepared to navigate an increasingly connected world with confidence and care.
