Member Connection 2020 Greetings from the President & CEO Since most of you have not yet met me, I thought my first communication to our members should be an introduction that shares my experience, what brought me to People’s Credit Union, and what our team is looking to accomplish as we enter a new decade. I grew up in Portsmouth, two miles from our Middletown branch, which was where I opened my first savings account. I have worked in large, established financial services organizations as well as smaller businesses and start-up technology companies. Serving the community is important to me, and I have volunteered on the board of several non-profits since graduating from college. It’s these experiences that shape my day-to-day approach to managing at People’s. Sean Daly President & CEO
I came to People’s three years ago to be the Chief Financial Officer because I saw an organization whose primary goal and purpose was to do good for its members and the community and where I felt that I could make a difference through hard work and creativity. Every day I look forward to working with our talented, caring, and dedicated employees. The central role of our employees and Board of Directors is to serve you, our members. We are committed to building a sustainable company that continues to deliver value for you and enhances the communities we serve. As the financial services industry continues to evolve, we will continue to work diligently to meet and exceed your expectations. Following in the footsteps of a 37-year employee who rose from teller to CEO is a hard act to follow. Although I may have a different approach, I am aligned with Ellen’s values and look forward to putting the vision for People’s in action and further sharing our progress in delivering on our mission.
Investing in Our Community As your local credit union, philanthropy is an important part of our culture and heritage. We support many non-profit charitable organizations and have long subscribed to the philosophy of "people helping people.” People’s is proud to support our friends and neighbors that are working hard to enhance the quality of life in our communities. Whether it’s joining together as stewards to improve ocean health, preserve our open spaces and protecting the environment, or supporting innovative programs that enrich our children’s educational experiences, People’s Credit Union is here to help our communities thrive. Recently, with support from People’s, we were able to help further the missions of several nonprofits including the Aquidneck Land Trust, Clean Ocean Access, the Bristol Warren Education Foundation, and the Narrow River Preservation Association. People’s Credit Union Partners with Potter League to Honor Ellen Ford with Innovative Program This past fall, People’s partnered with the Potter League to sponsor the People’s Credit Union Dog’s Day Out program in honor of recently retired People’s President & CEO, Ellen Ford. This new program is part canine field trip/part adventure and is run by the Potter League staff and volunteers. Dogs are taken on walks to trails and paths around Aquidneck Island and nearby communities, as well as visits to local pet friendly businesses. People’s worked with the Potter League to come up with a program that celebrates Ellen’s love for dogs and the Credit Union’s commitment to our community. In addition to exercise, Dog’s Day Out is designed to showcase dogs that are ready for adoption at the Potter League. The Potter League strives to enrich lives and promote the humane treatment of animals. They have several events throughout the year to help raise money for their efforts. The LoveBash for Animals on Friday, March 20th, Yappy Hour in July and their annual Heart & Sole Walk in October. There are also plenty of volunteer opportunities at the Potter League for Animals. If interested, you will be joining a family of volunteers and staff committed to providing love and support for the homeless pets in their care. As a volunteer, you will be helping homeless animals receive the loving care and second chance for happiness they deserve. If you would like to find out more about the People’s Credit Union Dog’s Day Out program or become a volunteer please visit potterleague.org

People’s Credit Union’s Community Enhancement Committee works annual with the branches and support staff in choosing twelve local non-profits in the community to be the recipients of the employee donations. This employee driven initiative is one way in which we demonstrate our commitment to enhancing the community, which is one of our core values. The branch is involved in their local community and will be participating in the Bristol Warren Education Foundation’s “BEE Amazed 2020” on Saturday, March 7th at Roger Williams University’s Field House.
