The following is a small sample from a much longer list of what you’ll be able to bid on during the fundraiser: From Pike Hill Farms, a bouquet a month from June through September; a basket of soaps from Plymouth Soap Works; a Batik Throw Quilt from Sherry Sinclair; 2 Midweek Lift Tickets from Gunstock Mountain; 2 Horseback Riding Lessons from Abenaki Farms; a One Night Stay or Dinner for Two at Squam Lake Inn; an Oil Painting from Ed Van Dorn; a walker from Top Glides (our local mobility assistance provider); 8 Yoga classes from Wild Heart Yoga and Wellness; a pair of Tubbs Trail Walking Snowshoes from Ski Fanatics; Handmade Silver Earrings from Alan Phoenix; a Radio Flyer Wagon from Rand’s Hardware; a bike Tun-up from Rhino Bikes; and a limited edition print from Shani McLane of Squam River Studios.
Over 20 restaurants will be donating their signature appetizers and main dishes for the fundraiser’s buffet dinner on the evening of January 25th. Many of those are reliable favorites such as the Covered Bridge and Farm Table, The Italian Farmhouse, Six Burner Bistro and Walter’s Basin, and the fundraiser venue, courtesy of Alex Ray, The Common Man Inn in Plymouth. There are also the “new kids on the block”, some old favorites with new owners, such as Georges Seafood and Thai Smile and brand-new eateries, such as Yamas in Plymouth, serving up Greek food and drinks. The menu will be diverse and delicious, and a sure crowd-pleaser.
Entertainment during the evening’s buffet and auction starts with Dave Lockwood, celebrated singer, songwriter, and musician from New Hampshire. Dave will play during the open bar cocktail hour. Later as the silent auction and raffle occurs, you can don your dancing shoes and move to the lively tunes of the Dueling Pianos of Jim Terrel and his partner. Sounds like a good time, right?
