“The Bright Beginnings program is a blessing. I am a single mom and have no family here. I knew I was not going to have the money to provide them with the proper things they needed to return to school. My children received clothes, shoes, book bags, and everything they needed to start school.”

Prepare teens for life. “I love being a Y Achiever because it supports my road to college and it is fun. The leadership retreat was awesome. We got to hang out together and do things that were out of our comfort zones. Our bond was strengthened as a group and we learned how to be leaders in our community.”

The world is 71% water and children are 100% curious. “Swimming is not only a recreational activity – it’s a skill that saves lives. Swimming programs not only teach people how to swim, they also provide other safety training, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation lessons, demonstrations of how to use safety equipment, such as flotation devices, and tips on safer places to swim.”

Strategic Plan 2019-2022
Road Map for the Future We hosted 30 small group meetings that consisted of center and association board volunteers, local staff, and community leaders from within our service area. Nearly 400 stakeholders provided valuable feedback around key areas. They helped us identify critical social needs in our communities, strategic advantages of the Y, and shared their hopes and dreams for our Y. This input was used to create our plan.
OUR MISSION To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
OUR CAUSE AND AREAS OF FOCUS At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. That’s why our work is focused in three areas:
Strategic Priorities Deepen Impact
Strengthen the Brand
1. Identify, create and execute Core Programs that can be delivered with high quality and consistency across our centers 2. Identify, create and execute Signature Programs that will position the Y as a community leader in our areas of focus 3. Implement diversity and inclusion best practices that advance our reach in communities we serve and seek to serve
1. Tell the Y Story and communicate our cause 2. Leverage our reputation to maximize our collective impact 3. Utilize technology to create a quality & seamless member experience

Does this fit within our three strategic priorities? 3. Is this a real need in our community and does it fit into our areas of focus? 4. Are we the best organization for this and is there an opportunity to partner or collaborate? 5. What return on investment and impact will this opportunity deliver? 6.
