The Hoslers

In the month of August, we take a look at The Hosler family. Steve & Janet Hosler have been members here at The Safe Harbor Peninsula Yacht Club for eight years now. Their story of how they became members is a heartwarming one.

After hearing positive things about the club, Janet was really hopeful Steve would want to become members.

Unfortunately, they didn't share the same enthusiasm on this decision. Janet left for a church mission and when she returned, her friends shared that they had actually become members and took the Hoslers on a tour around the property. As you could guess, Janet was in awe and really hoped Steve would reconsidered the idea of becoming members. While they were at dinner, our old Assistant General Manager, Jeff Barry, came up to the table with not a bill but two memberships for Steve & Janet. While still in shock, Janet turned to Steve and he said that he signed them up while she was gone on her trip. They have been very active members ever since! Steve went on to join the Fleet Committee which has made such a positive impact on the club. "I've had a tremendous experience and it's been very fulfilling", Steve said while speaking about his experience as a Fleet Committee member.

The Hoslers are approaching their 10 year mark here soon and when asked what's the most important thing a prospective member should know, Janet said, "my biggest clue is to get involved". They have done just that. Whether it be attending events or putting events on of their own, there is not a corner of this club that they have not explored. One of their favorite things about the club is being able to bring their family (pictured left). Whether it be boating on the lake, swimming at the pool, or grabbing a delicious meal from our Dining Room, every moment shared with family is a good one here at SHPYC. Thank you Hoslers for your continued love and support for the club.
